It was 3 months or so after the complaint before I heard from BON and a year before they got everything finalized.

There are 51+ BoNs in the United States (I'm not entirely sure what US territories do) and they all probably operate completely differently.

On this note if you live in a less populace state things might grind through the gears a bit faster. In California where I live I've seen it take 18 mos to 2 years.

I'm in Illinois, I was fired Nov 2. I just received the letter of complaint and it's stamped as received on 11/13. My employer had told me they would be filing the report with the state on Nov 5, so I don't know if they were delayed in filing or if the report just took that long to get processed. I got the letter by email and it says I should expect to get a copy in the mail soon.
Well mine was in September so I feel like so should have heard something by now..its just rumoured anyways i was never told in my termination this would happen so im just waiting you know..im yo the point where I want to just get it over with

Varies by State, and the severity of the complaint.

I have not been contacted by the BON. It has been a year since I was threatened with being reported to the BON. My job from last year was not what I had hoped for. I still have nightmares from it.
