Thought I would start a new thread on my next class coming up. I know Delta...you have already taken this class, and have commented elsewhere about some of the requirements.

Any words of wisdom you and others can share whould be appreciated.

Color me DONE, Finito, all over it ... do NOT CARE anymore! If I hold on for an A - it will be an absolute miracle! If I didn't have to go to work in a couple of hours, I would definately be popping a top! Someone drink one for me please!!

Double, triple, ditto for me. Put a fork in this class. It is more than done!!!

I started a thread!!!!

Did anyone else get an immediate grade on the module 5 quiz? I was shocked when I hit submit and saw a percentage! I was pleasantly surprised considering I only actually read 3 of the chapters and guessed on many of the questions!

Yep, got an immediate grade this time. So glad it's over!

I did and was surprised as well - about getting graded immediately, not about the actual grade itself (my expectations were low and my performance did not disappoint). What's amazing to me is the correlation between the quizzes and things like the tests on the publisher's website. It's close to zero. I did all of the on-line review tests (well for 4 of the 5 weeks anyway) and never saw a question on an actual course quiz that was even close to ones the publisher thinks are important. An aside: Is the flippin' Matt Lablanc report of the '70's really important or in any way relevant? And if it is, why not mention it at some point, other than on the quiz?

OK, I'm done (and actually guessed right on that question).

I'm over it now - though I have to admit it took more than the usual dose of Johnny Johnson and the Kentucky Headhunters favorite medication to do it. On to the next round . . .

90-94% is A-; 95-100% is an A. You'll do fine!

If I'm not mistaken, isn't the technical term for a grade in the 90% - 94% range an "Asian F" . . .
So I finally decided to take a break from stressing over this paper and took the quiz tonight. Can you say ouch! Worst grade I have received on a quiz yet. :( So now I am back to stressing over the paper...

you got your grade right away?

I have never been about to see my grade. I have always had to wait until the next week

I pray to the gods that they curve.....doubtful. I bet I have you all beat with the awful quiz grade!!!!! Not even close to passing!!! I hated the material this week and barely looked thru chapter 12, so it's my own fault. Oh well, I'll live with that Asian F along with Chuckster :lol2: BTW Chuck....I also got dinged a full point on the DB last week because I "didn't list the strengths and weaknesses although they were implied through my examples"......Seriously lady???? It's one thing if we make a major mistake, then I can see the penalty. But this stuff? Come on! Diversity here we come.

I got dinged on my discussion board post for the same exact thing! Really? If it was implied through examples....same freaking thing!!!!!!!!!!

Lost of similar stories here as I read back. Makes ya wonder.

What I've learned is if the rubic says state list the strengths, you do a paragraph saying The strengths are.... That's the only true way to CYA. Some TAs just look at that. Which is why I believe that a lot of them don't really read what we write, but look for KEY words that are on the rubics. But when you have hundreds of students/papers to read, I'm sure most skim....
