Common Drips Used in CCU

I was just wondering what are some common drips used in CVICU especially for patients that have undergone a CABG, MVR, AAA, or have a MI

epi, tridil, nipride, levo, neo, lido, dopamine, dobutamine

In ccu we use lot of drugs like dopamine,dobutamine,amiodarone, epinephrine, norepinephrine, heparin etc in a calculated dose.

Our most common drips are:

Dopamine, Epi, Neo, Vasopressin (though this is a fairly new one for us), Nitro, Nipride, Heparin, Amiodarone, Propofol, Fentanyl, Primacor, Dobutamine, Cardizem

Obvioulsy, we use others as well, but these are most common for us.

Standard heart surgery- Nitro, Epi, Levo or Neo

Sick heart- Above gtts + Primacor, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Vasopressin, Amiodarone + lots of Levo

We use all above meds and beginning to use cardene.

Controversial as it may be, my CCU uses gallons of Natrecor in lieu of Primacor. Supposed to be easier on the heart? Who knows. Doesn't seem to work as well.

That fluid would definately be given bolus!!!

I've found that ggts depend on your MDA. Or is it the area of the country? Up north I remember lots of Dop, Dob, Nipride, Propofol and Hespan. Down south seems to be Epi, Neo, Milrinone, NTG, and Albumin for volume.
