Got my Letter today as well!!! I made it in!!! So excited and can't wait to start.....looking forward to meeting all of you who make it!!! =)

I just registered at this site and was reading all of the posts on the thread. I, too, just received my letter today and was accepted into the program so I suppose I will be meeting you all as well at orientation on August 15. I am so excited!

That's amazing guys! CONGRATS! Can't wait to meet ya'll on the 15th! I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns that you guys may have. One cool thing you can do is go to our class page on facebook, CTC ADN Class 2011. You will love it! :yeah:

Thanks so much for that information. I just joined the Facebook page. =) I am so excited and cannot WAIT to meet all of you.

Hello everyone! I just signed up for this website as well and was reading everyone's responses about the CTC program. I have also been accepted for the Fall 2011 ADN class. Just wondering who all on here has made it? Trying to see if I can get to know anyone before Orientation. Can't wait to get started!! See ya'll August 15th :)

I know there are a couple of other people here that have been accepted as well. I am also trying to see who I can get to know before orientation. =)

By the way .... CONGRATULATIONS! It is so exciting.

I apply to the program this upcoming March, I have never been so nervous in my life. I haven't gotten the best grades before, but I am going back and retaking the classes to make them look better. Is there anything in particular I can do to make myself stand out? I have never wanted anything this bad in my life. Ever since I was young, I have wanted to be a nurse, school just hasn't always been my strong point. :( I don't know what to do :( Any help? :)

Retake any classes that you can but the nursing program at CTC only accepts the new grade if the class was first taken before a certain year. Maybe check with the department for details. I think the year was 2006 but Im not certain. I retook an English that i had previously taken back in 1989 and they accepted the new grade. Submit with your packet your very best scores. Take the NLN and compass more than once if needed. I went in there with a 4.0, 98 NLN and both 99s on the compass and i made it in. It is extremely competitive so do your very best! Several of my friends did not make it in with me =( so I'm looking forward to making some new ones at orientation on the 15th. Best of luck Jessica and work hard =) you can do it!

Well, I'm only 19, so all my classes are from the last year. :( I just know I have always wanted to be a nurse, definitely have the heart for it, my grades just sometimes speak otherwise :( If I don't get into the program I don't know what I will do :( But Congrats to EVERYONE that has made it into the program!!! :)

I have friends who also did not make it in the program with me so I am also looking forward to meeting everyone and making new friendships. I am also wondering who else I might recognize when I arrive to orientation. =)

Has anyone seen a breakdown of how the classes will be split up in the coming semesters? I am just wondering so that I know when we will hopefully be graduating. Is it still going to be December a year from now?... Oh and have ya'll seen a booklist of any sorts? I'd love to be able to go ahead and locate some books without having to go through the bookstore... Soooo much more expensive .

If any of ya'll are on Facebook look me up so we can get a face to go by! My email is [email protected] so you can look me up by that :), just let me know that you are from my class so I don't try to ignore you :lol2:
