Just testing the waters to see who else applied for CSU's FNP program for Fall 2018. I applied here and to ODU in Virginia. I am located in North Carolina. I intend to start in the Summer, as they offer Fall students early entry to start classes in the Summer.
Can you tell me about what you know about starting in the summer? The schema for part-time has 3 classes (9 credits) for the 2nd year spring term). Yikes! I'd love to knock one of those out in the summer instead. Seriously considering another program (if I get in), just so I can take less credits per term. Thoughts?

Also, where in NC?? I wish NC had schools that waived the GRE! I'm in Holly Springs, grew up in Hope Mills and lived in Durham a few years!
After reading this thread, I checked my email and I got in full time for Fall 2018! I live in Florida so I will be doing it online. I am nervous about finding my own preceptors, although I hope to have some guidance in doing so. I also got the notification in my Gmail on MyCSU even though my application status still says under review. Hope that helps....I also applied to University of South Florida (closer to my home) but their application period does not close until March 15. Also, anyone want to make a FB page so we can stay connected??
Me too! But did you apply anywhere else? It's the least expensive program but I'd love some reviews on the quality. And I know I won't hear from anywhere else before the 15th of March...I've applied to UAB and USA and was considering Mizzou DNP but an MSN seems more attractive right now. Has anyone found reviews on CSU or know FNPs that have graduated from there? What do they have to say?
There is a Facebook group that has current students and the reviews are pretty great. I applied to ODU, but won't hear back until May about it. They help locate preceptors, they are my first choice as a result.
I was accepted!

Ok now Im positive I didnt get in.can you guys tell me what your GPA was and did you guys send anything extra besides what was needed. I sent in my resume this time last time I applied i did not.
I only sent in what was needed. Don't give up hope yet! Some applicants may not take their seat if they have applied to others schools and get in. You never know!
