Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Columbia's MDE/DNP program for 2024! Good luck :)!

Can you explain to me why that would hold up from them making decisions? I'm curious

Also to counter that thought: why have we all heard from other schools like 1-2 months ago already LOL ?

Exactly what I was thinking! What does FAFSA have to do with who they decide to matriculate??

It's inconsiderate especially for ppl waiting on Columbia before they make their final decision between multiple schools. Also they should send out an email communicating that if that's in fact really the hold up.

Well they did send an email yesterday explaining the scholarships and the window for decisions is Feb 1-15, so they haven't gone past the window yet

I think it has to do with the program cost. Columbia is undoubtedly one of the most expensive programs for a non bachelors nursing degree even though it's a MSN. Im guessing it's can mean not filling as many seats if ppl have to wait to see if they received enough funding before agreeing to $150,000. But again IDK, they are still in the window though. Last year was early but they did always say rely February.

No same it's excruciating at this point. The apps are submitted over two months ago FAFSA can wait. At least letting us know the decision we can start to prepare and make plans??

I was wondering the same. I don't understand what FASFA has to do with them deciding who they will accept.
