Columbia University MDE 2017

Published

Hi everyone!

First of all, I would like to congratulate everyone who has been accepted into the next starting cohort for this program! :D

I am starting this super early because I have already begun to freak out lol.

Is anyone applying for the MDE MDE/DNP or MDE/PHD program for 2017?

This is my dream program !!

I am prepping for the GRE at this point which I am taking in August. It has been a long arduous road for me to say the least and I am ready to send my app off with a prayer. Any advice from current/previous students of this program or applicants welcome! And to my fellow applicants what other programs are you applying to? And most importantly good luck to everyone. The application opens August of 2016 :D

Submit a Columbia University review today!

You can review your school as a Student, Alumni, Parent, Pre-Student, Employee, or Other. Act fast, winners will be announced next

For everyone who was accepted into the program but is unsure about whether you will attend or decline, what are your hesitations? When do you think you will determine if you accept or decline?

For everyone who was waitlisted, what are you doing during the long wait to keep yourself occupied/going stir-crazy from waiting? Have any of you talked to the admissions department/what have you found out from them re: waitlists?

Officially accepted my psych MDE/DNP offer :D so excited to start

My hesitation is primarily finances. I received an email that financial aid will be sent out end of February, so I am waiting to see what I will be eligible for.

It is a difficult situation for me because of a newborn, well he is now 10 months, and my acceptance came as a surprise, but I am beyond excited to have been accepted.

My concern is finances too. I'm also waiting to hear back from UCLA MECN's program. It's a lot cheaper and I live in LA so it'd be more ideal.

Hello everyone!

I was accepted to the MDE/DNP in nurse-midwifery, super excited!

I won't be able to make it to the visiting day on March 10, so I'm looking forward to connecting here and on the FB group.

Hey Everyone!

Congratulations on all who have been accepted! I also got accepted into the 2017 MDE Cohort! I sent a request on FB for the group page. I look forward to meeting you all.

To those who are on a wait list or not accepted:DO NOT LOSE HOPE. Sometimes the universe throws unfortunate **** our way and perhaps there is some growth or some opportunity that hasnt been fully realized yet!

I do! I'm at 190th, in the Hudson Heights area. I'm very excited to go to school so close to home. It will be great to walk to class! And I'm super excited about the new building.

I was accepted to MDE/DNP for Adult-Gerontology Primary Care. I live in Inwood, about 35 blocks north of the school! Will be great to be so close!

Thats great! I wanted to do a "pre-meet" of some sort before the Visiting day to get further acquainted with one another! Especially with my heights people! LOL Are you on the FB page that was created?

Thats great! It definitely will be a great advantage being close to the school. I am so glad I wont have to take a train and can just walk. It saves me MTA money and saves me time. Looking to do a pre-meet of sorts if you are interested as well! Are you on the FB page?

This forum is a little confusing for me, I ended up posting my comments twice.
