Hi everyone!
First of all, I would like to congratulate everyone who has been accepted into the next starting cohort for this program!
I am starting this super early because I have already begun to freak out lol.
Is anyone applying for the MDE MDE/DNP or MDE/PHD program for 2017?
This is my dream program !!
I am prepping for the GRE at this point which I am taking in August. It has been a long arduous road for me to say the least and I am ready to send my app off with a prayer. Any advice from current/previous students of this program or applicants welcome! And to my fellow applicants what other programs are you applying to? And most importantly good luck to everyone. The application opens August of 2016

Hello everyone,I haven't submitted my application yet, I'm still working on my video essay answers. Did you guys dress up for the video as if it were an interview or just casual?
I went casual. The webcam only captured my face so my clothes weren't a concern for me. I did have a black shirt on though in case it captured my collar or something.
I would just consider it as you would a job interview and yes, keep in mind what the camera will see. I put on a nice shirt with my jammies on the bottom, so. :)
Remember that you're not just trying to show that you can learn stuff. You're also trying to demonstrate that you are a delightful future employee who will only help the success stats of the program. (am i just jaded because I've worked in market research for years? ha.)
Hey guys. I just graduated from Binghamton with a BA in psych. I have an overall 3.2 (bleh) and a pre-req of about 3.74. I'm finishing A&P II now and nutrition. I have my CNA and I'm BLS/CPR certified. I also was a research assistant for a nursing professor and I was a peer advisor in my school's undergrad. advising department. I'm applying for the MDE/PhD program. Is anyone else? I'm freaking out haha. My GRE was a 160 verbal, 149 quant (eek) and 4.5 writing. I'm retaking them oct. 6 and am hoping to get my math score and writing score up.
Also hoping my recc. letters are ok. I have one from my supervisor in advising, one from the prof. I did research for, and my CNA instructor. Can't wait for decisions to come out. Also conflicted b/c I applied to NYU and Rutgers to start in the spring... not sure when we will know?!?
My application is in! Phew! Now in for the long wait.
cjones25, I'm considering applying for a few backup programs as well that start in the spring, but since we won't know until February, have considered putting off those applications for the fall. What do you think you'll do?
Good luck everyone!
I had the same issue. It is just technical error. You have to call them so they can get rid of it themselves. After that you should be good to go.
Hi I am wondering why I cannot submit my application. On the error section, it shows i am mission application information. However, when i click on that tab, everything is filled out? Can someone help please
I still have one rec letter that hasn't been turned in. I know the SON said that rec letters could arrive as late as 10/17, but I am still a bit worried. I have sent a reminder, and communicated with the person about it too. They acknowledged that it was on their to-do list. Apparently it's been on that to-do list since I gave them my info back in August... Grrr... I don't know if I should cut bait and ask someone else, or just trust that they'll get it done.
I had a similar problem. What I did was send weekly reminders and on the last week I reminded them 2 times and it worked. But, I had a good relationship with that recommender. When I was having that issue with a professor, I sent weekly emails, and then just trusted that he would do it, and he did.
