Columbia University-ETP

Published

Hey everyone. I was just wondering who applied to Columbia University's ETP program.

I got an email today telling me to keep logging into the website where I applied to check on the status of my application. Has anyone else got this email? And does anyone know approximately when they begin to post decisions?

I'm nervous as this was my #2 school.

Hi all,

I'm new to the site and excited to find other folks just as nervous as I am about the application process. So I too got the thanksgiving email but never heard back from Columbia. Some people posted about receiving an email about checking their application status online. Could someone post the link to that site? I went to the address of where I submitted my application but it didn't say anything about the status.

Help!

tabdul,

here is a link to the site: https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=COL-NURS.

simply enter your username and password, and a summary of your application status should be on your page.

Specializes in Nurse-midwifery.

Hello to all,

I'm also new to the site. I applied to Columbia's ETP program for a dual specialty in Nurse Midwifery and Women's Health.

tabdul, I just received the email today from Columbia about checking your application status online, so yours may still be on the way.

Good luck to everyone! I've also applied to UCSF, Vanderbilt, and OHSU, and I will be reapplying to U of I - Chicago.

Hello everyone! I applied to the FNP specialty. The only other school I applied to was UCSF and got my rejection letter yesterday.

aspiring.midwife have you heard anything back from UCSF? I'm still waiting to get a letter.

liz.c I'm sorry to hear about UCSF. I'm still waiting to hear back.

I'm applying for the ANP specialty and I wanted to minor in HIV/AIDS care. Good luck to everyone!

Hey guys! Neonatal NP applicant here. I am getting so anxious!! Anybody know Columbia's accepted GPA range? Columbia is by far my first choice so I'm kind of flipping out over every little detail. Would love to hear from any current or former students!! Especially NNP :)

Specializes in Neonatal ICU (Cardiothoracic).

I'm currently in the NNP program...

I entered as a traditional MSN student, not ETP, although I have several classmates that went the ETP route...

How do you & they like it? Do you know what I need in terms of GPA to be accepted?

I can't speak to what they require for the ETP program. I had a 3.7 for my BSN. I like it. The class size is small (3-7) and the two NNP professors are EXCELLENT.

I am doing it part time and it works well. I'm busy, but I can at least still work FT.

The NNP specialty isnt that hard to get into, IMHO, because not too many people apply. they have room for 12 students, but have never had that many.

Did everyone who applied to Columbia ETP get an email from Oscar suggesting you complete your FAFSA? I'm sure we all did, but i'm just curious.... anxiously awaiting!!

yep! from what i've seen of previous threads, this is a standard email that gets sent to all applicants. after hearing virtually nothing from columbia for over a month, it is exciting to hear something. :) :)

Heh! If only it meant you were part of the select few. Oh well, i figured that was the case, but couldn't hurt to ask! :p
