Columbia University ETP 2008

Published

So where are the potential 2008 Columbia ETPers at? I think a handful of regulars around here have Columbia on their list of apps, so heres a thread to get us through until notifications in Spring 2008. If you'd like, reply here and let us know which specialty you are trying for! I just submitted my app online for Acute Care...Good luck everyone! ;)

Ok, I think I'm going to do it!

Wish me luck!!!

If they tell you over the phone, please let us know so I can also call and find out! I am in Colorado, and I don't think I will get mine until the end of the week. Congrats to everyone....

Yea, I just called. They verify if you received the e-mail. Since I did not get that e-mail, they told me to wait for the decision letter in the mail.

Judy said they should be coming in within 2-3 days.

Congratulations kevkev and fnp!!! That is awesome! I am dying to find out though!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me:)

Yeah, I just called and left a message. No reply yet, but I guess they wont tell anyway since I didn't receive that email. No mail either :(

Congrats you guys! I can't take it much longer... I'm in California so I won't get my letter for F-O-R-E-V-E-R! Well, hopefully it will come Friday or Saturday... Did they tell you over the phone if you got the scholarship thing?

Hey Everybody. I also got the email and called. I'm in for acute care NP!!!! I'm so excited I don't know what to do!! I also came home to find the acceptance letter for a different candidate but with my address and info. Funny. My heart was POUNDING when I was on the phone with Judy. Congratulations to FNP and KevKev :balloons: and keep hope alive the rest of you guys. You'll get those letters soon and I really believe we will all be meeting each other at an orientation session in June!!

(I can't stop smiling :w00t:)

This is mega-frustrating...I'm super happy for everyone who got screwed up letters and was able to call and get their news, but I think this could have been handled better by the SON in terms of refusing to let others know via phone.

I totally understand that there are hundreds of applicants and it would have taken awhile to handle those, but other than this forum, I would highly doubt that the word of that email spread farther.

Can you tell I'm just looking for a bit of good news...?

Congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to those who are waiting. I'm looking at applying to Columbia's NNP program once I get my year or two experience in the NICU

Congratulations to everyone that got in!!!!

For those of us who are still waiting, is anyone else starting to worry that the screwed up email is essentially the admissions ticket? :o

I got in for PNP! i didn't receive the email that everyone is talking about, i just got a letter to my permanent address today. I live in NYC though so maybe the mail is just a lot faster for us here,

good luck everyone! any other future columbia PNPs out there? :)

Congratulations to everyone that got in!!!!

For those of us who are still waiting, is anyone else starting to worry that the screwed up email is essentially the admissions ticket? :o

I highly doubt it...only in that I think they probably did screw up a "handful" of folks and they would have no reason to politely lie in an email. Also, statistically there will definitely be more than three individuals on this forum who will receive admission offers, based on the historically well-qualified applicants who frequent AllNurses.

There's nothing we can do that will allow time to pass more quickly, so back to work! :o
