Columbia MDE 2022

Published

I know the application hasn't opened yet, but wondering if there was anyone else thinking of applying to Columbia MDE/DNP programs for June 2022 entry?

To my knowledge they have only alerted last years cohort one day prior because decisions were delivered in two rounds due to the fact they had 150 extra applications.  So on Jan 6th they sent the email saying first round decisions would be coming “soon” which was next day (7th)….  But I have not found proof that was ever done prior.  So it basically a ticking time bomb. ??

It’s not going to be today… so go enjoy the weekend. I’m not sure if anyone has found this yet but I’d like to share. It’s from a previous student who shares all the documents for the program publicly on her blog. I found it entertaining and exciting to get a “sneak peek” and also to review and kill time. Not sure if the moderator will allow me to share… link below

Is anyone open to sharing their stats? Are there any other people in this thread that identify as male?  38yr male here from New York. Just out of curiosity. Men tend to be a minority in nursing.

I'm a 23 year old male from Los Angeles, CA! Definitely starting to feel anxious the closer we get to February. ? I recently received an acceptance to Johns Hopkins direct entry MSN program so that has at least kept me somewhat distracted. I have until Feb 18th to put down a deposit so I am hoping Columbia at least releases decisions before then!

Oh Yeah!! I found that like a few months ago and I was really tempted to start looking at everything, but then I realized I needed to chill. I also watch this YouTuber that is in the program and she shared how she got all A's. I'm a tad bit excited but scared. I put the link below. I need to stop now though bc I don't want my feelings hurt.

Hoping we all hear something this week guys!  Good luck to all of us!

Definitely going to be sleeping with one eye open all week LOL

If I recall… decision emails usually get sent out around 12-1pm EST.  That’s the times people have reported from past threads.

I’m hoping for tomorrow ?that would be amazing but they did say February

Well the exciting part is it can happen any day now…. ?

Did anyone else do terribly on the timed writing portion of the application? I got really nervous and barely wrote anything.. I really hope it won’t affect my chances too much

I wouldn’t say I did terribly but I didn’t finish my last sentence, was scrambling and left out the final word. There were so many elements to our application that I can’t imagine just the timed writing portion would totally tank your chances!
