Hey Y'all!
I'm getting ready to apply to the Columbia's ETP for 2010. I was just wondering who else was applying and what you were doing to make your application stronger! Also where else are you applying and what do your stats look like (GPA, GRE, experience, etc) ? I'm getting nervous as I start the whole application process and just thought I'd turn to the forums for some support and guidance!
I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with y'all! Hope to hear from you soon! :)

If your income is low you have nothing to worry about. Last year I was eleible for all the national defense loan but able to get PELL because I got Pell as an undergraduate and I have a BS degree and MA Degree You will get everything. The people that have probems are the ones who are dependent on teir parents income .
Good Luc I am sure you will get in. I will pray for you

Hi to you All:
I know the suspense is killing us but the academic world moves very slow especially at Columbia University. They never give you an exact answer to anything except your grade at the end of the semester. Remember what Jose Villa replied. Here is the copy and it could be possible that they will torture us until next week if they are behind in their work. Read this reply careful > He BELIEVES . He does not say for sure.
Good Morning,
We have not sent out the decisions for this year's class. I believe that we will publish decisions by the end of the week.
Kind Regards,
Jose Villa
Good Luck to all of you nervous people.

Hi:
I was thinking about what you said regarding income of your parents and I remember from my school days the one thing they looked for was do you live with them. . So as long as you do not live them you will not have to how their income. However you will have to show your income and if is too high by their standards then it could make a difference to them. One thing the application requires is your income and they verity it with the tax returns They also ask for your bank accounts and how much you have in them. They verify all these personal questions. If the income is high and the savings is high you may become ineligible for some grants loans or scholarships depending on how much money is involved.
The only thing they do not take into consideration is the real estate property you own if you live in it. I own a very expensive apartment with a small mortgage but they do not take that property as an asset because it is my primary resident.
