I'm getting ready to apply to the Columbia's ETP for 2010. I was just wondering who else was applying and what you were doing to make your application stronger! Also where else are you applying and what do your stats look like (GPA, GRE, experience, etc) ? I'm getting nervous as I start the whole application process and just thought I'd turn to the forums for some support and guidance!

I'm just going to tough it out. I GUESS a day (or two or three or four...) won't kill me. And calling the office isn't going to give me my decision sooner...
its just nice to vent/complain on this forum and wallow in our collective misery, which will hopefully soon be followed by collective happiness!
So I called the office a few minutes ago because I can't help myself. haha! Anyway, the nice woman on the phone told me Monday is now the expected date. A few more days of waiting for us :)
I am seriously sitting here chuckling to myself! Friday, no Monday, no Friday! I guess its a good exercise in learning to go with the flow (easier said than done!) and preparing us for next year. Everyone I talk to says nursing schools notoriously change schedules last minute. If we aren't able to deal with that it's going to be tough! I may need to take up yoga to relax :)
MONDAY?!?!?!?! OMG!!! I really don't want to have to wait that long, but it is what it is. I just want to get this nervous feeling out of my stomach and figure out my next steps like, I think, Beth. I have so much to do either way.
But it is a relief to come here and vent. Thanks for calling, emailing and sharing your info!

aaahhhh the suspense is literally killing me! I've been staring at my inbox pretty solidly for the past two days and have been incapable of getting any work done...I doubt I'll survive the weekend. Keeping my fingers, toes and arms crossed for tomorrow!
So all of us that are agonizing here and watching the message boards...what specialty are you applying to? I'm applying to Midwifery. Good luck to us all!
I hope to concentrate on acute care with a "minor" in geriatrics or oncology. I never thought it would be a fit for me but I've spent a lot of time volunteering in a huge emergency room and I am consistently drawn to the older patients. We'll see.
