Did you guys hear anything from the admissions office? I called and they told me to email, but they haven’t gotten back to me yet .

Negative for me and my colleagues. We been texting each day to make sure neither of us missed it. Im putting my money on Monday for them to send out invites.

Hi, did anyone anyone get any other updates? I sent an email but nothing yet...

No updates from me. I’m also waiting for my email to be answered. I’m starting to get discouraged honestly. I’d be happy with any news at this point.

Same here. especially after reading last year’s forum where people said invites were received at the end of September. I worked so hard on this particular application too so it would be a real bummer.

No need to think for the worse. No one has gotten any emails yet so just need to be patient.... it’s annoying but rather have no email than a rejection email. ?‍♂️

They will probably start sending it out this week for sure, I spoke to Dr. Massie last week and she said either the end of last week or this week. The week just started , let’s stay hopeful.

I’m a current SRNA at Columbia and would like to offer some advice, if I may:

I know this is much easier said than done, but please try and be patient. I know exactly the excitement and nervousness that you’re feeling. Try to enjoy it. This is part of the process that makes the whole journey that much sweeter when you find out you’ve been accepted.

Keep in mind that the COVID-19 pandemic has forced a lot of changes to be made to virtually everything. I’ve seen a lot of “but invites were sent out in September last year” posts but again, this year is unique and can’t be compared to last year. I assure you that the faculty is working exceptionally hard to review your applications — they’re just as excited to send out the invites as you are to receive them.

Feel free to ask me any questions about the program, I’d be happy to help as much as I can. Good luck!

How are you liking the program? Do you feel like it’s well organized? Are first year students currently doing online learning?

During my BSN my cohort was the tester group for the new curriculum, I’m looking for a smoother program this time!

I’m loving the program. I’m a first year student in my second semester. Our lectures are live/online and we have skills lab/simulation on campus twice a week. Online learning, of course, was an adjustment but it has its pros and cons. Despite all of this, my class is super tight-knit and I am amazed every single day how incredibly skilled and kind they are.

As far as organization goes, yes it’s organized (as organized as it can be right now, COVID has thrown everyone a lot of challenges). But we’re adapting and I love my experience so far. The faculty is amazing and they are very invested in every single student.

Are any of the students in your cohort from community hospitals?
