Just curious, has anyone heard back about interviews yet? I got an email saying my application passed initial review, but nothing further.
Hello there,
4-5 years ICU experience GRE: 149v/155q CCRN GPA 3.7 - I attended 4 schools - started out at a 4 year transferred to a cummunity college and gotnkymy BSN online and took a organic chem this summer to meet their requirement and I still have to take stats again. My associate degree GPA was a 2.7.
Honestly, I feel like they were just looking for people with the right personality. Good Luck!
Thank you so much for your input! I only had one year experience but it was in a peds ICU. I felt that I was a decent fit, I have been on mission trips & felt that I had a good video essay with good reasoning on wanting to become a CRNA. Is there anything else you can recommend to make myself stand out from a personality stand point?
Question for anyone who is familiar with the program---I know there is a bridge-to-DNP option, but does anyone know how much longer it is/what the timeline is like? I meant to ask, but with all the activity, I forgot...
Thanks for posting about this. I'm interested in applying for the next cycle (summer '18), can anyone who interviewed this year tell me if Columbia said anything about switching to DNP? I hope not, I really want to apply to MSN programs but it seems like a majority of schools are switching sooner rather than later.

They are switching to DNP starting in 2019.
Everyone who was accepted - would you mind sharing your stats & key items that you feel helped you get accepted? I wasn't offered an interview this year but really want to work on my resume & credentials for a possible chance for next year! I'd greatly appreciate any advice! Thank you!!!!
After you get the interview, it is 100% personality. I had a 3.9 GPA, great experience/letters of rec, tons of extra curricular and leadership activities, CCRN, 330 GRE (168 quantitative, 162 verbal) and totally bombed my interview. I did not get in. I was expecting the interview to be more technical than it was and totally tried to "prove" myself in a way that came off horrible. Don't do that!
Wow, everyone has excellent stats. My GPA was a 3.3 undergrad and then I took a graduate pharm course and an o-Chem course to boost my GPA. I had five years combined pediatric, medical, surgical, and trauma ICU, CCRN, had people with really important positions write me letters of recommendation, 154V,159Q,4.5E GRE, and you know, Army, Afghan deployment and stuff helps. I sold myself on my leadership, experience, and I think I have a pretty good sense of humor even during interviews.
I had 2-3 years of ICU, 3.65 GPA, GRE: 94th percentile for english, 80th percentile for math. I didn't have too many 'extra special' things on my resume, to be honest, but I nailed the interview. I just tried to be the best version of myself; animated, friendly and confident. A close family friend of mine that has sat on graduate school admission panels told me to show them that I wanted this more than anyone else, and that the program would be my number one priority. They want to see your personality shine through.
If it gives anyone hope, I applied last year and didn't even get an interview, and just one year later I was accepted :)
