Just curious, has anyone heard back about interviews yet? I got an email saying my application passed initial review, but nothing further.

It was an email early last week saying now my application is being forwarded to the Faculty Admissions Committee. (I submitted my application weeks before priority deadline though.)

I submitted my application prior to the October 1st priority deadline and have only received an email stating my application had passed initial review and was being sent to the faculty for review.

Has anyone applied to any other schools in the area?

I haven't heard about passing the initial review yet. I applied to Rutgers as well I have an interview

I applied to Rutgers as well and got an interview; Which I am trying to prepare for, because from what I understand their interviews are very clinical.

I received an email.

From past years (blogs), it seems that Columbia doesn't start giving out interviews until the general application deadline passes.

Oh, you're right. I forgot the general deadline hasn't quite passed yet... I have interviews with Georgetown and UMD (might be too far to be considered "in the area" haha).

I'm with you nyc10002, I am waiting to hear back from Rutgers also. I hope we both get interviews! When were you guys notified that you have been offered an interview if you don't mind me asking?
