  1. I decided to go to the University of Pennsylvania's DNP program... I'm pumped! Good luck!
  2. I just declined my spot. Congratulations to whomever gets offered admission!
  3. Wow, everyone has excellent stats. My GPA was a 3.3 undergrad and then I took a graduate pharm course and an o-Chem course to boost my GPA. I had five years combined pediatric, medical, surgical, and trauma ICU, CCRN, had people with really important positions write me letters of recommendation, 154V,159Q,4.5E GRE, and you know, Army, Afghan deployment and stuff helps. I sold myself on my leadership, experience, and I think I have a pretty good sense of humor even during interviews.
  4. Whoa. I got in...and I thought they hated me.
  5. I can't relate. I would look for a forum that isn't specific to Columbia (not saying you aren't qualified by any means) and discusses undergrads who got into CRNA school right out of nursing school... because it does happen. A small number of prospective SRNA students I know have at least a year of critical care experience (critical care nursing is really cool) and a high science GPA...and for some reason they are really fast runners. Also, I would talk to Columbia's admissions team for pointers. Good luck :)
  6. Hmm, not sure if you're on the right thread. This I was posting about the Penn CRNA program which was due back in July of 2016 (for a May 2017 start date).
  7. From what I've heard, Columbia's interview requirement is fairly new--like a year or two. One of my friends in the program said the interview is mainly to get an idea of your personality and to see if it's a good fit for their program (but really, all interviews, to include job interviews, are like this). I wish we knew who was interviewing us... I know some students will sit in and of course some of the important staff. With other interviews I was given a few names of the interviewers ahead of time.
  8. Yeah I got an email late last night! I'll be flying in for the 3rd. Best of luck everyone :)
  9. Anybody else got accepted? Anyone want to join a forum for this cohort?
  10. I submitted my application earlier than the deadline, but my recommenders sent their letters late (like last week). I just got an email saying my application is currently in the review phase. So, more to follow...
