Columbia CRNA Summer 2017 (MSN)

Just curious, has anyone heard back about interviews yet? I got an email saying my application passed initial review, but nothing further.

Good luck to everyone preparing for the interviews this week!! Does anyone have any advice? Any current students willing to share their experiences? This will be my first CRNA interview so I'm a tad nervous!

Did anyone hear more about the interview? Last I heard was that all the invites will be out by October 28th. Ugh this waiting....

I called them this morning and the woman on the phone said that if you haven't received an interview offer by now then we will be receiving rejections emails this week some time :/

Hello everyone! Any word on how the interview process is held? thank you all!

Nope! I'll be heading to it soon though!! Butterflies have already kicked in!

Best of luck to you!!!!

Can anyone share some interview details from today?!?!?

It was very personality-based. They will reiterate this to you when you get there, but if you have the interview, you have the stats/ICU experience and they just want to get to know you and see if you fit in. Also it was super fun! The senior SRNAs there taught us how to intubate and let us practice on the dummies and other SIMs in the meantime while waiting to be individually interviewed.

Question for anyone who is familiar with the program---I know there is a bridge-to-DNP option, but does anyone know how much longer it is/what the timeline is like? I meant to ask, but with all the activity, I forgot...

Just make sure you know your pressors and receptor sites :p (kidding)

So how does everyone feel after the interview!? I'm not feeling too great about mine :/. I think I was too serious in the interview and didn't get the greatest vibe :/. I'm kinda bummed but happy to be done with it!

How'd everyone else do?

I didn't think they were so bad? There was laughter at my joke attempts at least ;). They definitely pushed for some answers that they might have felt I didn't answer so clearly, but it wasn't unreasonably aggressive.

I think I did ok, they were very nice and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I was very nervous. For my interview, I had the director and 3 other people interviewing me. They said that they were interviewing 66 people and out of the 66 people they have 35 seats and will let everyone know before Thanksgiving. Good Luck to everyone that interviewed.
