Hello

I was just wondering who else is applying for the Spring 2010 semester at Collin County in McKinney! Do you guys know what the minimum amount of points people had for the last term? What are your stats? (if you don't mind sharing!)

I'm applying with either a 10 or 11 (not really sure how they're going to do my overall GPA because of all of the places I have attended).

So you would suggest not working at all? Do you think someone used to juggling a lot could handle working one or two nights a week?

Many people do work, some have to work full time. They struggle, but they make it work for them. I personally am not working during the semester but have an externship at a local hospital who lets me work when I want or am able - for me that is between semesters. I can't fathom trying to work and still do this, but that is because I don't have to. I think the folks who have to find a way, and I take my hat off to them. They are amazing.

If you want to work a night or two a week, you probably can, but it will make things more difficult, particularly during second semester, which is very homework heavy.

Do you know if anyone you know in your class talked about their appication process and had to use high school records for their MMR and other childhood immunization requirements. All have is the premanent school records where it has the dates I got everything and the RN signature from the school. Someone at the nursing office said she wasna't sure if that was good enough.

I sure don't want to have to pay for my blood test...my deductible is mighty high. ;)

You will have to have official medical records. They won't take records from other sources unfortunately, or at least would not when it was my turn to apply.

Yes, I just ended up finding out that I had full coverage on Nurses visits at my physician's office and all the shots are covered under preventative care, so I"m just getting new MMR and varicella. Thank goodness, otherwise the titer would have been $300 bucks!

I actually just used my school childhood immunization records and they accepted those. I only had to get my Hep A, Hep B, Varicella, and Td vaccines. Start next month :).
