HEY Folks!!

Just wondering how many of you there are out there who have applied for the accelerated Summer ADN Program at Collin College! I have not seen anything posted on the web and I would love to get in touch with everyone!

So excited!

Claire - I did it on the 20th. It said processed a few days after but haven't gotten anything in the mail yet

Same here. Were we supposed to receive an email about a background check also, or is that for if/ when a spot opens up and we get "accepted "?

Oh, wait. I think you get the email about the background/fingerprinting and do that then you'll get your blue card. I got that email and did the fingerprinting but probably won't get the blue card for another week or so. Then if a spot opens up you have to have your blue card ready. You got wait listed also right? Idk how this website works but can you message me? Lol

My blue card came in the mail today; exactly a week after I did the finger printing. It's weird, it just looks like a post card. Not even in an envelope, just a blue card with the TX Board of Nursing stamp on it.

So you went and got yours done last Thursday???

I did also, so hopefully mine comes in today as well... One less thing to worry about when it does!

Weird... I purchased them the other day and they were closer to 1200... I think like 1180.. But then again once you get up in those numbers, $100 more doesn't really make a difference[emoji23]

Are the books sold in a package or separately at the book store?

I also did my fingerprinting on the 20th and got my blue card today. Surprised it came in the mail that quick!

Hey claire_bear123! The books are only sold in the package at collin's bookstore, you can not purchase separately there. I've been told that you can shop around online and get them cheaper... But me and my husband decided that I have enough to stress about... Having the right books and codes and making sure they get here before the day we start, would just add to the stress.. But if you end up starting in the fall, you will have much more time to worry about books, so I would shop around if I was you.

Im pretty sure you can just go to central park campus bookstore and ask for the list... That is what we were instructed to do.
