HEY Folks!!

Just wondering how many of you there are out there who have applied for the accelerated Summer ADN Program at Collin College! I have not seen anything posted on the web and I would love to get in touch with everyone!

So excited!

Im pretty sure you can just go to central park campus bookstore and ask for the list... That is what we were instructed to do.

Hello summer class! What all should we expect at orientation? How did it go for yall? What should we wear? Lunch? Is that when we sign up for clinical location preference? I NEED ANSWERS!!! lol :)

It will be a loooong day, take lots of notes of all instructions and directions they give. Wear something comfortable. We got an hour lunch break but you have to get your own lunch. and from what I understand you don't get a choice on clinical site. We were just told what day our clinicals will be and that there are few sites but you don't get to pick and choose, it's mostly psyche and medsurg floor and everyone has to do certain number of hours in each.

We haven't been assigned sites. We were only told the day we will be in clincals. Every Tuesday for us.

I went and asked for the list and they said it won't be available until August, and I've heard too they hold the list hostage until last minute cuz it's a money making move by "forcing" students to buy the books there and not online cheaper...

Did you tell them you were fall... I would have said you were waitlist for summer... I don't think the booklist will change for fall...

I don't think I can personally give ya'll the list as we signed a confidentiality contract and were told not to share any documents given to us... And being that the bookstore doesn't want to give it to you... Idk if it would be appropriate for me to give it to you...

But we got the list after orientation... Im sure ya'll will get it then too...

Sounds good. I will be waiting until after orientation for the list then, meanwhile I will save up for the expense.

Any advice from you Summer students on what to go ahead and buy now that we know we are accepted? Like stethoscope, planners, etc.

So I would say we're still kind of in limbo too... I bought a stethoscope because I know for sure we will need one... But I am waiting till I dig into my clinical's bag to see what else I will need...

Planner is a for sure!

But I thinks it is safe for now to just relax and enjoy your acceptance.... It really flys by quick!![emoji28][emoji28]
