Collin College - Fall 2024

Hey everyone I haven't seen a forum for this one yet and decided to create one. 

Hey everyone! I applied for the ADN and the LVN (just to hedge my bets LOL). I have 24.3 points so hopefully that's enough. I applied while I was still in micro last semester with 18.3 points and obviously didn't get in. A girl in my micro class had a little over 19 and was waitlisted so I am hopeful my points this time around are enough. I hope to get to meet some of you soon!

I don't think we can have recommendation letters. Micro was actually my favorite class I got a 98 in it! I had a great professor but you'll do great!

I loved Micro, too. My professor at Collin was really great.

When you have a great professor the class is super interesting!

Yes! She was so nice, too. I got to take it with a few people from AP1 and AP2 so we had a good time. I'm in chemistry now and I hate it. LOL I'm ready to get back to the body.

Y'all I'm so paranoid to get disqualified over something missing on my application LOL

What kind of transcripts would be acceptable for colleges other than Collin? Unofficial right? Because an official transcript would be in a sealed envelope correct? Ugh I'm losing my mind ?

That's what I would think. And same. My friend that applied too and keep saying this. LOL Like what if we missed something and don't make it on a technicality.

Yeah, I'd never forgive myself LOL I literally could not sleep last night thinking about all the "what ifs”… nursing is cut throat .

I just pulled up the ADN power point information session online and it says unofficial from all colleges/universities attended. So you should be good!

I appreciate you looking that up. I feel a little more at ease now until I think of something else that could get me disqualified LOL!

Yes, I had to check my stuff. My friend and I are super paranoid too. I went back and reread the emails and got paranoid all over again.

I just got accepted into another program that's closer to my home so I'm probably going to go with that college! I'm still going to wait on collins admissions decision tho
