Hey guys! Who here is applying for the fall 2020 term? Anyone else here unable to take the TEAS due to the cancellations? I signed up for two test dates, both of which were canceled. I see they've updated the process with alternatives put in place for those who were unable to take the TEAS. That being said, it's still super confusing since the admission process is points-based and a major part of the selection criteria is your TEAS scores. I hope this doesn't mean that those who were unable to take the TEAS are not going to be prioritized in the admissions process. ?
I just did a zoom meeting with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and wanted to share some of the info I was given.
-Acceptance date: typically 4-6 week after application deadline. Students will be notified rather they are accepted, denied, or waitlisted via email.
-Program state date: August 24th
-About 50-100 students selected, but due to COVID they MIGHT only select 60-75. She isn't 100% sure on that though. About 8-10 students are put onto the waitlist
-Class schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30
-Clinical schedule- 12 hour day within that Mon-Thurs schedule
-Friday & Saturdays are for open lab, so that students can practice skills
-Summers off, she said some students use that time to take pre-reqs for the RN-BSN pathway.
-About $3,5000 for the first semester since you are having to buy uniforms, stethoscope, and stuff like that. She said tuition is pretty affordable its the price of books and software that has to be purchased each semester thats so expensive.
I really hope this helps anyone that had the same questions I did ?

You are the best!! This was super helpful. So, just wanna make sure, we will be receiving an email not a letter informing us whether we got in or not? Did you use your student email on the application?
Also, the schedule 8:30-4:30, solely for lectures? Or does that timing include the clinical portion? Was confused about that portion, you mentioned 12 hour day within those 8 hours?
Thanks again!
@jazzzy_ From my understanding she said an email will be sent. I wonder if that’s just due to the COVID. But I know a lot of other schools do emails as well. I used my personal email on the application, I didn’t even think about using my school one LOL
And yes that is the lecture schedule so I guess if we happen to have clinical that week it’ll be a 12 hour day instead of an 8 hour day and we wouldn’t have lecture on that specific day. That’s how I understood it.
Hello guys, I’ll be applying this fall 2020 too. I am preparing for my TEAS exam right now, I take the TEAS on the 3rd of June through another school and then I’ll have my transcript sent over to Collin. They didn’t have any more time slots available at Collin for the remote proctoring. I have an Ain AP 1 &2 and I’m taking Microbiology this Summer. I really hope to score high on the TEAS. I wasn’t going to apply for the fall initially because I thought I needed to be up to date on my immunizations by the first day of class, but my last shot for HEP B is in October. But I emailed the nursing department and they said they don’t need the immunizations till the beginning of clinicals. So I am applying for this fall. Also on the selection criteria for 2020 did anyone note where they said they will be reviewing the transcripts for overall performance? What does that mean?

That’s awesome. What was your score on the TEAS? Also how long did you prepare and what books did you use? I’m so nervous because I only had 2 weeks to prepare since it was kind of a last minute decision to apply this fall

Even as a native speaker, the English was my lowest scoring portion! It was not easy. That’s a great score! Where are you from originally? (Just curious, because I’m middle eastern and noticed your name was a common Arab name!)

I'm about to take TEAS and it's asking for assessment ID & PW to add "Test" under My ATI. Customer Service is busy so waiting for them to call me back .. I found Assessment ID but where's the PW?
