Hello!! Yes I did accept the position and it’s on the surgical ICU. What about you? What ICU will you be working at?- Feeling Very Discouraged. ICU New Grad Nurse.
I am very sorry to hear that you are going through all this. I unfortunately do not have any words of advice since I’m still a nursing student myself but I graduate next month, December. I already accepted a nurse residency program in the ICU too so I am a little nervous as well. But keep your head high. Always show willingness to learn and despite how you feel, always try to have a positive attitude and keep doing your best. Nothing comes easy in nursing, but with time I know you’ll do awesome. I’m seriously rooting for you and hoping you don’t give up. You got this??????- Methodist Health Nurse Residency February 2023
Yayyyyyy congratulations to you. This is awesome. Is this at Methodist Dallas?- Methodist Health Nurse Residency February 2023
Hey! I just got an offer today. I’m so happy and excited. The interview actually went pretty great. They basically asked me just about 2-3 questions and the rest was mostly them telling me about the job and the expectations. I’ve heard ICU interviews can be tense but mine was really more of a conversation. After interviewing with the nurse manager and educator, I got to tour the unit and then have a peer discussion with a few of the nurses on the floor. Overall, it was a positive experience. Thank you. I did get it ??. Praying you land a few as well so you can get to choose which works best for you.- Methodist Health Nurse Residency February 2023
Thank you! I really pray I get. It would be a dream come true.- Methodist Health Nurse Residency February 2023
I just interviewed for the ICU nurse residency at Methodist Richardson this past Thursday. Hopefully I hear back from them soon.- Collin College Nursing Fall 2021
You won’t be able to register for classes till they send out codes to you all which you will use to register for classes . It may be a little after orientation- Collin College Nursing Fall 2021
I don’t know if the days remain the same but for our cohort we had classes on Tuesdays, clinicals on Wednesday and skills (lab) on Thursdays. Clinicals didn’t begin till after the first 8 weeks of school, so for the first 8 weeks, we were mostly free on Wednesdays. For class days it’s usually from 8:30 AM till about 3 pm. Some days we got out earlier but some days we stayed till 3:30-4 pm. That’s both for Lecture days and lab. Clinical days were from 6 am till about 3 pm. Some people were able to work during the weekends but overall nursing requires a lot of time.- Collin College Nursing Fall 2021
Hello Congratulations to everyone who got in. COLLIN is such an amazing program. I got in the Spring of 2021 and so I’m going into my second semester this fall. If anyone has any questions maybe I can help out. Also for the textbook packets you will have the option to buy the physical book package, the ebook package, or both. I bought both packages but I’m not really great with physical textbooks so I ended up not opening any of the textbooks. If anyone is interested, I’ll like to sell them mine at a portion of the cost. You can always wait till after your orientation and when the books are made available just to be double sure that they still have the same textbooks. You can reach out to me at [email protected]. Also the scrub color for nursing is white shirt and navy blue pants which will be purchased at the Collin bookstore. This is mostly needed for clinicals and exam days. But for normal lectures and open lab, you can wear any color scrubs. Hope this is helpful. Congrats again y’all ?- COLLIN COLLEGE - Spring 2021
