Hey guys! Who here is applying for the fall 2020 term? Anyone else here unable to take the TEAS due to the cancellations? I signed up for two test dates, both of which were canceled. I see they've updated the process with alternatives put in place for those who were unable to take the TEAS. That being said, it's still super confusing since the admission process is points-based and a major part of the selection criteria is your TEAS scores. I hope this doesn't mean that those who were unable to take the TEAS are not going to be prioritized in the admissions process. ?

For Collin, yes. You need to be careful scheduling your TEAS dates if you are planning on applying for multiple programs though.

The Fall application period ended June 5th so between June 6th and whenever the Spring application deadline is you are free to take it twice.

On a side note, my friends and I all used the ATI practice tests, which really helped. However, the best thing that we did was buy a Kaplan TEAS prep book which breaks down EXACTLY what each section is looking for/trends of questions/tips for taking it. One of my friends actually signed up for a TEAS tutor and she said it helped her tremendously (her TEAS was a 92), but it cost some pretty serious $$$ though.

Hey, thank you for the suggestion, btw! I purchased the Kaplan book a few weeks ago, and it’s my favorite of all the test prep books I’ve purchased. I retest on the 20th and I’m feeling more confident now ?

You're welcome! If you have any questions about what to expect after you are inevitably accepted let me know. The process can be a tad confusing. Our cohort JUST now finished all of our paperwork and got our class schedule yesterday. Good thing was the blue cards came in pretty fast despite the pandemic.

Thank you!! Hopefully I’ll see you around next semester, if I make it in. Did you get all your vaccines/blood titers done with?

Haha yeah I do, I’ve been good! And no, I’m only applying to Collin for the Spring term. What about you?

Applying to Collin and TWU!! Applied for the fall term but did not make it in I made a 68 on the TEAS and applied with a 4.0. English and reading tanked my scores!! If you need help studying let me know we can link up!!

Well, hopefully, you can boost your scores up! Good luck to you, it was a really competitive cycle last term.

I appreciate the offer, but I’m okay. I retest in a few days, so I’ve got my own review processes under control.

Hey Mark, when do you retest if I may ask? Also, for TWU do I have to complete the Texas core courses before applying?
