Hey guys! Who here is applying for the fall 2020 term? Anyone else here unable to take the TEAS due to the cancellations? I signed up for two test dates, both of which were canceled. I see they've updated the process with alternatives put in place for those who were unable to take the TEAS. That being said, it's still super confusing since the admission process is points-based and a major part of the selection criteria is your TEAS scores. I hope this doesn't mean that those who were unable to take the TEAS are not going to be prioritized in the admissions process. ?

I was told over email that acceptance letters are still being sent out, and they should have everything sent out by Thursday. Although, I’m really not feeling hopeful, there’s still a chance.

What are your tie breaker points? It appears that they haven't sent out wait list letters either so hold out hope! A lot can change in a month

Nope, I’m still not sure if they’ll be sending out rejection emails either

That’s what I think, but I spoke with the nursing department and they now are saying all emails will be sent out by Monday, including emails indicating if you are waitlisted. So, I’m still holding out some hope. Either way, I’ll be applying again for the Spring term, but will be taking the TEAS again to improve my score.

I think the reason they haven't sent out rejection letters is simply because they don't know who they are rejecting yet. For those of us who were selected, we had until today to confirm that we would be attending. I think you will lose your spot if you don't confirm by the deadline which will cause the roster to be shifted. Once they have the number of confirmed students then, and only then, will they create their waitlist and rejection list. I can't imagine what you guys are feeling right now but try and hold out hope!

I just got my rejection email. I’ll definitely be retaking the TEAS and I’ll get a much better score this time because I’ll have more time to prepare

Me too ? I was expecting it but man it still stung to read, definitely had a cry at work LOL. I’m gonna just have to improve my TEAS score and retry for next semester! Good luck to you ?
I just got a rejection email also.. I need to retake my TEAS too as I didn't do so well. Just out of curiosity, what were your points those that got a rejected email? I guess I need to shoot for 17 points or 16 with at least 8 tie breaker points? Also, can anyone share with me a good TEAS study books with practice questions? Thank you all and good luck to you who made it in for Fall 2020 and best wishes to those preparing for Spring 2021!

If that was the case then you had 16 total points not 17.
10 points for an A in AP1 and AP2 with no repeats
3 points for completion of AP1, AP2, and Micro
3 points for the TEAS
This totals 16 points. The tie breaker is not additive. The tie breaker is a combo of your science and reading comp scores. The needed tie breaker to get in for this cohort appears to be 8 points if you had anything lower than 17 general points.
