COLLIN COLLEGE FALL 2020

Hey guys! Who here is applying for the fall 2020 term? Anyone else here unable to take the TEAS due to the cancellations? I signed up for two test dates, both of which were canceled. I see they've updated the process with alternatives put in place for those who were unable to take the TEAS. That being said, it's still super confusing since the admission process is points-based and a major part of the selection criteria is your TEAS scores. I hope this doesn't mean that those who were unable to take the TEAS are not going to be prioritized in the admissions process. ?

It appears as though the acceptance pool was between 18 points and 16 points. With the 16 point range being decided by tie breakers. In that same vein I was wrong about the points. You get one point PER pre-req for a total of 3 points. CONGRATS to everyone who also got in! My name is Blake. We should meet up sometime during orientation. It is kinda hard to miss me. I'll be the tat'd up sleeved out military looking guy LOL

Also, when did they first reach out to you? I mean to tell you you had the highest points?

I just spoke with the nursing department, and she told me “to my knowledge emails weren’t sent out” so I’m super confused LOL so emails may be sent out later in July, then? I have no idea ?

I just spoke with the nursing department and she said some emails went out today. But I’m thinking everyone who has been accepted should have gotten a notification by now

Myself, two of my friends, and a friend in the Texas 2-Step all got our emails just now. They sent us a link to confirm acceptance to the program and we have to confirm before July 2nd

That’s bizarre! The lady told me that she didn’t know emails were being sent out, I just spoke with the receptionist, I think. Ugh, I genuinely feel like I’m gonna vomit from how much anxiety I have. So, did she say emails were still being sent out?

So it’s funny because the lady I called hung up before I could ask other questions. So I called back to find out if those that did not get accepted will receive an email too, then Karen answered the phone and said she’s not aware emails were sent out. She thought they would be sent out later in the week

I had gotten an email from a different program like 5 days ago to set up my fingerprints and was confused because I didn't see an acceptance letter. Through a pretty comical series of events I found out that I actually had 18 application points and not 16 and was the only one with that score but that they hadn't finished reviewing the tie breakers.
