Hi, I know it’s kinda early but I wanted to start a string for those applying to Collin college ADN/RN program in the Fall of 2022. I just want to know where I fall points wise and competitive wise to others who are also applying this coming Fall.

No word bank. You do get scratch paper and a lot of people memory dumped on the scratch paper.. but no word bank or hints.

Nice!! So they did alter it a bit

Bring a notebook and your laptop. First day is basically in person orientation and we are introduced to all the professors of the program.
You get your nursing ID badge at the McKinney campus student center. The same place you got your student ID made. You won’t need it for your first day but I’d advise going before then because everyone tends to go get theirs done after our first day of class is over and the line is unreal.

Thank you so much for the advice, you have been incredibly helpful!

Hey Greg,
The books should have an access code with the physical copies which are usually found within the first few pages of the book or there is a paper shrink wrapped with the book. If you’re referring to the books that come from ATI then you won’t receive those until the 2nd week of the program which is 8 ATI books in total.
Hey quick question.. do you by any chance remember how many of the books we actually used the first semester and which ones? If not it’s okay I just figured I’d ask I’m struggling a bit with financial aid/ bookstore so I’m wondering if I can save myself some money for this semester and buy the rest of them next semester

I would highly suggest purchasing the textbooks as digital copies… plenty of friends from last semester as well as a semester further than them lightly used the physical copies. Save yourself the money and buy the digital copies only. The ATI books come as part of the ATI package you sign up for.. no way to get out of those books as it’s all together.
You’ll need every textbook during the first semester but not as much as you’d think… so just get the digital. If anyone is hesitant or can’t afford the books please let me know and you’re more than welcome to study with me or look at mine. The textbooks become significantly more relevant after the first semester.
