Hey everyone,
Does anyone know anything about how the college strike will affect students starting in a January- start program? Anything helps!
I am looking for some good news, but at this point I feel as if there is little to no hope with this strike.
Thank you!

In Ontario, Canada.
OP- I think you need to wait to see how things ban out.
First, you need to wait to see if the back to work legislation passes.
Then, they have to figure out how to get the current semester back on track.
Each college will probably take different approaches, so right now you are stuck in wait to see mode.
Sucks I know, but its beyond your control

I had the same question. It seems that college faculty in Ontario have been on strike now for 34 days, with little hope of settling it anytime soon. Apparently there is legislation in the process that would force both sides to binding arbitration. At least one university is pushing the end of the semester back to January, which will likely result in a delayed start of the next semester.

Luckily the strike is over! I would definitely not worry about your semester being greatly affected, I'm sure each college is handling it differently though.

I would check with the school you're enrolled in.
Centennial College updated their website saying that the winter semester will start January 22nd.
