  1. I hate this waiting game!
  2. where are you looking? all my friends who are new RPNs had no trouble in toronto, but they were applying to nursing homes, palliative, rehab etc east general is also good too
  3. hi guys, was wondering if your schools filled you in on clinical in the fall? trent announced group clinical is cancelled and moving to virtual patients. I'm at ryerson post diploma entering my last year (supposed to be doing one on one) and we havent heard anything yet :(
  4. I'm at GBC now and i wouldn't say its the best program ever, but it isn't awful either. If you speak english as a first language that gives you a big advantage since there are about 100 writing assignments in the first semester. If you are confident with your writing skills then I would recommend it.
  5. I don't really remember, but I do remember it was pretty confusing. I think since I was applying to the same college (i did my RPN at GBC) i didn't have to do anything? but you should email GBC or talk to someone at your school.
  6. If anyone is reading this in the future, I was accepted to the bridge with a 3.7 GPA, I know people with a lower GPA who got in.
  7. Thank you! Good luck :) if you get into the bridge and have any questions about the program let me know!
  8. Hii! I finished the RPN program at George Brown in April, I wrote my exam end of June, and I got my results about a month later.I got my license early August. I emailed proof that I passed the exam, and emailed them to let them know my name was searchable on the find a nurse website in August. You will get all this information when you apply to the bridge, you have to work fast because there was a deadline, i believe that was august 20th. I received a conditional offer to the bridge program i think around febuary, so before I finished the RPN program, and I am in the first semester of the bridge now :) my conditional offer became a full offer only once i had my license. A lot of the people in the bridge are very new nurses.
  9. my friend got into the george brown bridge program even though he had a C in pathology and theory... not sure how that was even possible but i guess GBC doesn't abide by what it says online.. so you probably have a better shot than you think.
  10. Also if I'm not mistaken they will tell you the areas you struggled In. So make sure to really review those areas. also... ASSESS UNLESS IN DISTRESS. you're a nurse, get your assessments before calling the doctor or doing anything else.. ADPIE. Unless of course they need immediate intervention.
  11. I'm so sorry that really sucks. It's weird because you prepared so much... the exam really wasn't that hard. I would recommend going over the prep guides and buy the predictor test. Read all the rationales and understand why the correct answer is the right one. I only studied for two days and did both those things. I found the cpnre really similar to the prep guides and predictor test and even had questions that were the exact same. Once I understood the answer they were looking for I was confident. Review ADPIE, nursing diagnosis, ABCs, and therapeutic nurse client relationships. I'm confident you'll pass it the second time around.
  12. Yay I passed!!! Woohoo thank god
  13. my mailman still hasn't come
  14. They don't ever tell you that. They just say pass or fail..
  15. check your mailboxes everyone!!!
