  1. apply to mental health jobs in hamilton. there are lots
  2. Hospitals mainly, St. Joes, Sunnybrook, Camh, Caseyhouse, community centers. etc.
  3. I actually had the same questions, I found their website to be lacking in clarifications as to why this is needed. I signed up for a 1/2 yr membership to take some basic certifications to only find out that you need to pay more for specialized certificates. From what I can tell, it's just to say that you are specialized in said area.. making you more employable? I don't know
  4. Thank you for the heads up, all postings say they require minimum 2 years experience ?
  5. I'm open to moving, but I'll need to make sure I have decent pay to rent a place.
  6. Thank you for your response, I can't believe as an RN it took you nearly a year to get a job!! I thought it would be easier since the RN to RPN postings are like 20:5 at some places. But congratulations! I meant to say that I began looking end of March, I am afraid the longer I keep going like this the worse my chances of getting hired will be because of an education gap on my resume. I have been told this is a reality as well and it makes my anxiety skyrocket each passing day. Have you heard this to be true? - I mean I am currently taking online classes to specialize and I've also done workshops and certificates, yet I still feel discouraged. Maybe I should look into hamilton, On ?
  7. Hi, Apologies for venting but I'm starting to think being an RPN has huge disadvantages regarding the job market in Toronto. I graduated nearly a year ago, I got registered with CNO in January 2020 and only began seriously looking for hospital jobs in May. I've done a ton of online certificate training and I still can't get a call back. My resume and cover letter were reviewed by a professional and they advised it was perfect with some tweaking. So, What gives? have I been out of school for "too long"?
