YAAAASSSS helluva job!! I hope there's no app period next year for either of us, but with 82.5.... I really don't think they could reject you. What'd you use to study this time around? For me, I'd finished all my pre-reqs as of like December something. Took the A and B practice tests to hone in on where I really sucked, used Brandon Craft's website to "fix" my math and peppered my aerospace engineering (or whatever it's called) majoring best friend with questions about math/geometry crap I had no understanding of, checked out nurse cheung's chem TEAS video to zero in on exactly what chem to focus on, and paid for mometrix academy's crap. I took zero of the lessons it included since I already had the book, but it came with 9 practice tests. They were EXCRUCIATING and so so so much harder than anything else I'd worked on. Mometrix academy's tests had me so jacked, by the time it came to the test, I kept thinking I was getting punked. Like no freakin way they're not gonna ask me these super complicated questions, I muuuust be missing something here.

I bought like every study guide I could. (Which I regret cause it was waste) Taking the TEAS first time gave me understanding on what I needed to focus on. The practice A&B was very tricky and harder than the the real exam. I focused on what type of questions the test was asking and all the answer key given too. I didn't study science because I just finished my prereqs in Dec as well. I used my knowledge from physio. For Math I used Brandon craft, nursehub, and smart edition. Reading and English I used smart edition academy. I did not like mometrix practice test because it was way too complicated than what the TEAS actually wants. Lastly, I watched a lot of YouTube and archer review webinars for tips and tricks.

Coming from FCC, they make you say you're a pre-allied health major until you get into an RN program.

Unrelated, but if people don't mind me asking.... how old is everyone? I'm 34. It took me a while to believe I was capable of becoming a nurse, so I never tried. Had a kid (who's now almost 11), and life just kind of got in the way. Correctly diagnosed and saved my only parent's life four times, only to discover I was right in my final diagnosis for him- vascular dementia. I'd already started my pre-reqs (he was diagnosed late this last Summer), and now it's like a race against his disease to get my RN license. Hate to say it, but if I don't get in somewhere for the first round, I'm gonna do National University. I like what I've seen of their program, but the costs are nausea inducing! My ultimate goal is to become a nurse practitioner, so the less in debt I can be while getting my RN, the less the cost of school later is going to hurt.

I am 43 this year and applying . It's never too late . My daughter is in their nursing program and there are definitely older people in her group .

I'm 28.. I'm giving it a shot and if I don't get in I might apply to sjvc next yet but didn't want to commit to 68k in debt for now if I don't have to. Getting nervous as the date gets closer

I went in the office and asked how many applicants did we get for the year round and she said a little bit more this time than last application. About 70ish compare to 65. Sorry I didn't ask about the fall application. I had to rush back home. 1.5 hours away. April 1st is so close yet so far LOL. I'm counting down the minutes.
