Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone. Does anyone have information on CMSV's regular BSN program? How hard is it to get in? Any current/former students want to share their experience with admissions/being in the program?

If you need to take an Organic Chemistry course, please let me know as I teach one at a community college this Summer. It is entirely online. The tests/quizzes/final are open-book, open notes, and students are encouraged to work with others (such as tutors, teachers, etc.). Science education research has shown that this approach is superior to the traditional lecture/memorize/test approach as (a) students learn the material better, (b) retain the material longer, and (c) get higher grades.

I might need to take this class. Where is this class offered?? Price ?

Hey anyone keep getting a access denied error code when they check their status on their app on the website???
Also where do we send the official transcripts too??

im very confused if I should register for organic Chemistry since I got a C+ Or not before sending my transcript?? I don’t want to pay for a class and then be told I wasn’t accepted in the program. will they tell me I have to retake that class before giving me a decision? How does it work with registering with portage learning?

I believe they mention in their website their minimum requirements for classes which I believe is a C, so I believe you should be fine.

It’s alright. By any chance do you know if I should mail my official transcripts to them? You applied also right ?

Yes you will have to retake it— I got a C in Microbiology in the Fall and was told to retake it and show the proof of enrollment to recieve a decision, I just got a B through Portage Learning course. I started May 1st and just finished yesterday so about 4 weeks with a B+. Also, To register its super simple and you begin the class right away and complete on your time.

You add the classes you want, pay around 800$ for the course, and you recieve the syllabus almost immediately and start the next day.

Yes. Send it directly to graduate admissions I believe. You are doing the accelerated track correct?

Thank for the info! Where did you submit your transcript for the program? And after you submitted, they contacted you back with the class you had to retake right in order to get a decision from the college? I just worried that What if I’m register for the course and paid for it but then I get denied to the program lmao ? what’s the possibilities

portage is now also using webcam for their exams so you will need a working webcam and mic

I sent an email regarding that and I was told that the June orientation will be online while the others in July and August will most likely be in person.

Hi everyone, is there anyone in the program already? please tell us what your experience has been.

I got into the ABSN for the fall semester at the Rivardale campus

theres one girl in an old thread her name is sara she graduated from the program in 2019 and works in an nyc ER currently, she is also in an fnp program now if im not mistaken. she didn't seen to have terrible things to say about the program and she said their clinical sites are good
