Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone. Does anyone have information on CMSV's regular BSN program? How hard is it to get in? Any current/former students want to share their experience with admissions/being in the program?

Thanks for responding. How are the exams on portage learning?

for chem I havent started yet but it is math heavy in the first module. for ap2 the labs are challenging. for ap1 things were not so bad bc it was not as detailed. but for ap2 its definitely more challenging since the lab questions are detailed. there are also more paragraph style questions on exams than there were before.

for the classes its going to take some used to now being recorded and having to scan your notes for the lab before hand, so the course if going to take a little longer to complete imo bc there are more steps now

I might need to take this class. Where is this class offered?? Price ?

North Central Missouri College. I offer all of my classes each term even though the schedule of classes does not list them all. I have attached the syllabi for Organic 1 and 2.

The price is $1,000 as it is a 5 credit course and the tuition is $200/credit.

Please feel free to contact me for more information.

Thanks,

Jeff

Usually, if a program requires 1 organic Chemistry course, then taking the first term course (I.e., Organic Chemistry 1) of a two part series (I.e., Organic Chemistry 1 and 2) will be sufficient. If you need an online organic Chemistry course, please let me know. I do not like to see students unnecessarily delayed.

Hi Jeff, I need an online organic chem class that I can take this Summer. Any recommendations? Thank you!

did you get accepted before you completed your pre reqs? I am taking A&P 1 in the Spring (now) and have to take Organic chem and part 2 of A&P but I have to take it in the Summer--I wonder if they tell you if you're accepted before hand because CMSV is the only school that needs that organic chem class but like if they don't accept me beforehand then there would be no need to take orgo (I'm terrible in Chemistry).. Also do you mind sharing stats?? GPA etc.

This is the EXACT scenario I am in! They gave me a conditional letter on the basis that I complete anatomy II and organic chem. Do you have any update on what you decided to do? Wondering if it's worth it to take these courses (especially orgo) if they're going to deny me anyway-- of if you think it's a for sure yes if I complete these courses! LMK what you're doing!

If your only looking at schools in New York, the I advice that you take the Organic Chemistry cos some CUNY schools eg Lehman, Hunters and Medgar Edgars all require Organic Chemistry. If you have up to 3.0 GPA and you make a B in Organic Chem, you would def get into the program at CMSV.

WOW! so right now I'm only enrolled in ap2 with portage and I still have to enroll for chem..so after I enrolled in chem then I should send them the proof of enrollment for both courses? its a relief bc I took it as they would need to review my whole application again and I would have to start from square 1..also does the program start on 9/14 with the other graduate programs?

Hey did it work out for you? Was your app ever updated?

I teach at North Central Missouri College. I can probably accommodate in one of my classes either this Summer or in the early fall. When do you need to have the class completed by?

Yes! North Central Missouri College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which is the regional accrediting body of the Department of Education. Additionally, we are also accredited by the Missouri Department of Higher Education. My courses are also part of the Missouri Core 42 Guaranteed Transfer program.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Jeff

after you send proof of enrollment for the required pre reqs they send you an actual acceptance letter, it takes a few days but it does come
