Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all! I wanted to start this thread for those who have applied/been accepted to The College of New Rochelles accelerated nursing program starting in the Summer of 2019. I thought it would be helpful to meet other applicants and give us all some insight!

has anyone applied for financial aid. how's their package.

Hi! I have a question for everyone that was accepted already. What was your gpa like from school that gave you the bachelors? Aside from the pre reqs

I have applied for FAFSA but have not heard anything yet. My GPA from undergrad was around 3.7, hope this helps!

Hi Everyone! I will be attending the College of New Rochelle for summer 2019. So excited to meet you all.

Just wondering what some of you are planning in terms of housing?

Also does anyone know people who have graduated from this program?

I just applied for the summer program, how long did It take to hear back from them or get a letter of acceptance

Hey mine took about 1 month. I applied in Sept and received my letter in Oct

Is there a Facebook group for the 2019 summer short?

My process was longer. I submitted my application on September 20 but they didn't accept me until late December because I had some grades pending for classes I was taking that same semester. Once I submitted my unofficial transcript for Chemistry and Statistics, I got an acceptance email that same day (December 20) and official acceptance letter in the mail about 4 days later.

no we do not have a facebook page it will be nice to create one.

Does anyone know what the cost of the program is? I've been having a hard time finding a concrete number for the tuition cost for the entire 18 month program

I was told $807/credit making it out to around $52,000 for the entire program

I applied to the Rosa parks campus...anyone else going there??

Hello, congrats to everyone who got accepted into the program. I also got accepted as well. I applied in November and received my letter in Jan. It took longer for me because I had two prerequisites to complete. So I placed my application on hold. I completed one during the winter break then sent in my grade Jan 15 and got accepted on Jan 23.

Although I have a good GPA for my bachelor degree(3.62) my associate GPA wasn't good. (2.0) (being young, doing dumb things) So my cumulative GPA was below a 3.0 and to get into the program a 3.0 or above it required.

This didn't stop me, I was determine to get into the program. I received a 3.5 GPA in the winter class which brought up my cumulative GPA to a 3.0.

Am writing this to hopefully encourage or motivate someone who may have thought of giving up. DON'T. If your dream is becoming a nurse and there's a wall in front of you, Don't give up.

I was planning on attending there, since it's closer to me, commute wise. But it's only offered in the spring I was told. So I decided to do New Rochelle campus.
