Hi everyone!
I have been looking around the site for info on the College of New Rochelle Accelerated program and there doesn't seem to be too many people applying or in the program.
If anyone has any information about this program (how competitive it is, if it is any good, any other relevant info) it would be greatly appreciated! :)
Your welcome..The letters for the individualized track went out yesterday...If anything call them on Monday. I also applied to the accelerated track. The letters for that went out on May 6th, but my application got forwarded to the individualized track..Call CNR on Monday...Till then, research those other schools.
Sorry to hear that, kwanee. MsLotus provided a few good schools, you can also look into Dominican College, which is across the bridge - They have an accelerated track as well as an individualized track. I'm not sure when their deadline is though. You can look into Pace, NYU, Columbia, Cochran, and Hopfer as well. Good luck.
Hi Everyone,
This will be goodbye, I did not get accepted either. They did not give an explaination or inform us on what needed to be corrected, so I have no idea of why I was not accepted.
It's okay though, maybe I was too old or like I said they did not accept the technical school credits. I really don't know why but I am not going to worry about it. It would have been an excellent move for me, but maybe it was not in the cards.
What made it all worthwhile was meeting all of you bright an intelligent young students who gave me lots of encouragement to keep believing. Thank you Kwanee, Ms. GT, Ms. A, Ms. L, and Annod(robert)
I know nothing beats nursing, but I feel that if you get accepted into a college you can transfer into the nursing course once they have accepted you as a student. Therefore, when I applied for CNR I also applied for Lehman College which is 10 minutes from my house with parking. I decided to continue to pursue my Master Degree in Early Childhood Education (Special Ed). I received an acceptance letter from Lehman the same day I received the rejection letter from CNR.
For all of you, I know you will do well in your studies. For me I have to go register on June 4, 2009 at 10:00am for my classes beginning the ending of August, and start studying for the LAST Test to become a Teacher.
Nice meeting you all.................Good Luck!
kwanee and BlackBeauty,
I'm so sorry to hear this. I really didn't see it coming. this was my last perspective program, since I did not get into stonybrook-so I know how getting that letter stings. God has a plan for us all, so I wish you both the best, and hope we cross paths someday. God bless.
Hey BB,
I'm sorry to hear about CNR. I also got accepted to a Masters of Early Childhood Eduation Program, but at Hunter College. My response to them depends of CNR. I do love the field of nursing because I worked as an aide during my undergrad. However, even though I just graduated from getting my undergrad degree, I do see the next door that opens for me as what I am destined to do. I do not think that age should affect any schools decision on who they accept. Even though I am only 21, that does not mean that because I am younger than some applicants that I will be more successful..I should tell you that pursing a MsEd is also a honorable degree. If nursing is your passion, I do think that you should one day continue to pursue it. I moved from my college town back home, and got my mail forwarded, therefore, I probably won't know the decision until later in the week. I do plan to call CNR on Monday to see if they can give me the decision over the phone. I hope you have not made the decision dampen your day because another door has opened for you. I will keep everyone posted when I get my letter. Till then, I wish everyone the best on their future endeavors.
Hey Everyone,
I guess that this will also be my last posting. I was denied admission into the nursing program at the College of New Rochelle. I will start my masters in education program in the Fall. It was nice being able to talk to everyone on here. I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors. Good Luck..
Ms. L,
I am so sorry to hear that, I thought you were already accepted into the college. I did not know you were waiting. In any event, Teaching is a good Job as well. I have already registered for my Master Degree at Lehman Graduate School in Early Childhood Education. They say that when you miss one BUS, a nother one is coming...So get on the bus and go get your Masters Degree in Education. Good Luck
Now we have to worry about the L.A.S.T. and the other two exams that gives you a license to teach............I try not to let the little things get me down. Good Luck in Education.
MS GT, and MS A,
Good luck again to you both................................
