College Network Rep. "LIAR"

Met with a Rep. from The College Network and he was rude and "evil".....smh

why me? I know 2 people who are going through TCN and they were shocked of the info I told them and they told me he was a LIAR and the info was not correct!

has anyone else had a run in with a rep from TCN that was a JERK:down:

I have until Thursday, according to my paperwork- d/t the holiday I'm guessing. Gotta find another way to go about doing this...I HAVE to work and going to class everyday just won't cut it. My job 'claims' to work with your schedule, but they don't...online classes would be perfect. :uhoh21:

These aren't online classes though, if you need to start from scratch, and don't have a lot of time, start doing clep testing and use the REA guides that cost around $20. Also, most jc's have online classes these days. And it is absolutely not worth it to blow off your sciences-those need to be in person, with live labs. Do one each semester and go at night.

I wouldn't want until the last day ....you need to be on this first thing in the AM.....Don't drag your feet. That way you can find a lawyer/legal aide before thursday...never wait until the last min. Who knowns they might count the holiday as a regular day....and less time to cancel....Follow up on this....you need to be aggressive....just as aggressive as they were when they got you to sign up.

:eek: OMG...I just signed up with TCN yesterday. Most of the schools/ programs around here have waiting lists or classes taken there won't transfer because they're clock hours...now I'm really nervous.

Hey, if you can try to cancel!

I work with 2 nurses who are using TCN and they were shocked about the info I told them (by rep) and they said DON'T DO IT..

call and see what you can do

Within 24 hours, you definitely should have have time to cancel your contract. You don't need TCN to do this.

There is literally no benefit to you to continue with this scheme to separate you from your money.

Demand your money back and termination of the contract. I understand the situation, impacted RN programs and long wait lists and lotteries. This isn't a solution to your problem though. You won't have a different outcome from anyone else who has had this experience with TCN.

If you could see him with his modules in hand and that damn contract lol he was ****** because I told him I had to do more thinking and he hit me with " well, its your future not mine" I replied " your correct and have a good day" lol sooo stay away from ???? we can't say names :down::down: HE IS PROBALLY ON HERE YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE SMH....@ TCN:devil:

I understand I work days and did my first year of LPN at night and it was hard on me:crying2: and I was ready to finish my last year of LPN and BON-VA closed them down NEW HORIZIONS in HAMPTON just thinking about it I get upset OMG OMG- famous words of Lupe Fiasco "The show goes on" lol I work 2 jobs and now thinking about going full time at my 2nd job so I can do day classes WE have to CLAIM what WE WANT!!! SO lets start CLAIMING OUR FUTURE-:yeah:

Ginger....I'm sittin here in tears- YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOO RIGHT!!! :hug:I currently work 3-11 (HATE it!) and there are NO openings on days or nights... but getting my RN is a MUST, so now I just to figure out where to go from here. I can't thank you all enough...why oh WHY didn't I look here before I signed!? lol 1st thing tomorrow I'm sending that form same-day mail.

Send your letter via email AND the same day you send the email, send the letter also via US mail, make sure it was sent certified with return receipt or if next day mail, require a signature--to prove it was mailed and who received it.

Let me tell you I CRIED SOOO MUCH I MADE MYSELF SICK I WAS DEPRESSED lost 5 pds...lol I worked my butt off for a year to pay for my last year of LPN and *BOOM* BON-VA shut'em down!!!! I'M GLAD IT HAPPENED NOW THEY CAN'T TAKE NO MORE $$$$ from hardworking people:D

LPN, 2 years now. Here, we're limited to SNF, LTC, or assited living- which I have nothing against, but I really want to be in L&D, so that means I have to be a RN. *sigh* Too bad TCN didn't work out...

I would do that... and also call the rep to let him know you are cancelling... be prepared for another high pressure sales pitch, and/or a guilt trip. Don't back down.

Keep reading this board, take advantage of all the knowledge and experience here.. go to Excelsior's website, read about the process, make sure you understand it. Also verify that your state doesn't have any additional requirements (or not accept EC altogether....) There is a link on EC's site that has different states' requirements...

Good luck... and be thankful you came here before the 3 days had passed!
