College of Marin Fall 2021

Hello!  I just applied to COM’s nursing program for fall 2021. I believe I have 86 points per my calculations. Anyone else applying?  I heard that quite a lot of applicants from 2020 who got in last year decided to defer for a year due to COVID, so there will be less available spots this year!!  I’m hoping 86 pts is enough to get in, and I’m also hoping to apply for the BSN program through either option they offer. Would love to hear from anyone else hoping to get in to COM Nursing this year!

Hi!  No, their website says they will start notifying people at the “end of April”, so still a few weeks to go!!!  Good luck ?

Does anyone know the type of their selection? Like 80% point or 20% lottery or something?

Jessica, I believe it is 90% accepted based on points, and 10% lottery. I am not sure whether those numbers are set in stone or might vary a bit

I also applied this year! I read that the email will go to your student email through COM. So be sure you check that email as well. Good luck everyone!!

Nope. I did get a financial aid notification but nothing from the school of nursing. I emailed them last week and they said they still didn’t have a specific date that they were sending out acceptances.

No, someone told me that they don’t actual send out a point confirmation email. They just send acceptances and I think they might state what points you had in that email. That’s what’s so nerve wracking!  You never know if you totally filled out the application correctly and get credit for all the points you think you have. Hopefully not much longer. They did say they still plan on late April, I was just trying to get them to narrow it down

My fear is that I didn’t fill out the application completely or that I didn’t get the total points for something.

I check like a dozen times a day and nothing.  So stressful.
