College of Marin Fall 2021

Hello!  I just applied to COM’s nursing program for fall 2021. I believe I have 86 points per my calculations. Anyone else applying?  I heard that quite a lot of applicants from 2020 who got in last year decided to defer for a year due to COVID, so there will be less available spots this year!!  I’m hoping 86 pts is enough to get in, and I’m also hoping to apply for the BSN program through either option they offer. Would love to hear from anyone else hoping to get in to COM Nursing this year!

I haven't heard anything back from COM yet either. I did get accepted to SJSU's BSN program though! Good luck everyone, hopefully we'll hear something next week.

I haven’t heard anything either but I recieved my petition through mail yesterday. Hopefully we’ll find out soon though ??

Hi there! Simran — Was wondering what exactly you mean by having received the petition in the mail — Is COM supposed to mail us the petition for substitution that we submitted (back in January) to inform us which prereq courses from other institutions they found acceptable? Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing.  I haven’t received anything by mail either.

Hi SfNurse,

Yes, they send the petition (or the copy of your petition) back to you and tell you if they accept the classes or not. I checked my mailbox yesterday and found it. Basically says OK next to all classes in the form. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Haha I don’t think so. Because I applied last cycle too and they just always send the petitions back so you guys should expect yours too. But I would like to get in this term?

If you don’t mind, how many points did you apply with last year? Thank you! I’m so worried about myself.

I am not sure if I did my calculations right but I think I have 90 points

I didn’t apply with points last year since they were pretty low but I have reapplied this year after getting experience and AS.
