College of the Mainland ADN Fall 2018

Hello, just wanted to create a thread for everyone applying to COM's Fall 2018 ADN program. I stop by the school today and met with a Nursing Advisor, we went over the requirements needed (more like a one on one orientation). The link to apply to the program just showed up on my WebAdvisor. Good luck everyone

I don't even think I made the alternate list! Not to sound cocky, but I'm completely shocked!

Tried calling but advisor doesn't work on Friday...I guess I'll have to wait until Tuesday

I didn't make it either. I had a 387. A in micro and Bs for everything else with a bachelors. I went to see the advisor this morning and she said she wasn't allowed to give the lowest accepted score. I'm retaking eng and psy online and A&P1 this summer and praying for As because it's a 16 week course condensed into 5 weeks! And now they've pushed the spr 18 app date back to sept 3. I almost cried for 3 secs yesterday but don't let it discourage you. Just try again!

I didn't get in either. I think I heard the cut off was 440 points anything below was eligible but not accepted. I already signed up to retake English 1301 and change my grade from an B to an A and then retake A&P 1 from a B to an A and that'll make my points to a 460 ( hopefully). I have all A's in all my other classes, but now I think we have to take the HESI.

Congradulations to all the the people who made it in. It's going to be super exciting and stressful, but I wish everyone the best of luck and I'll be a semester behind everyone.

So what classes exactly are they considering in the GPA calculations? Just their pre-reqs?

AP1 and 2, Micro are the classes they count as per the points

i dont know what the cutt of points but my point was 358 with a associate degree. I have one Bs and 4As

so the applicants for the spring need to take the Hesi is that what they told you.

@aj123456 I think you meant your points was 458. You got in right!

@Nessa91 I had a 460 and got in so your on right track I think only way to guarantee your admission is all A's cause it's getting crazy competitive and with the possibility of the Hesi makes it more intense! Goodluck!
