College of the Mainland ADN Fall 2017

Hi everyone. I haven't found a forum out there for COM Fall 2017. I recently found out about the school and will be turning in my application for the deadline. Anyone else out there ? :)

Almost there! I had my Hep B records from when I was a kid luckily. I'm just waiting for them to verify all my stuff in the portal. My drug screen still isn't showing up that they have received it yet though. Thought they would have it by now. I'm ready to register and find how what textbooks we need so I can go ahead and start looking through them.

Yeah they haven't cleared my drug test but I'm sure they have the results just have to put it in. When I start the dosage class I'll be asking all kind of questions because I also want to start reading the books to not get behind

Yeah I don't want to get behind either, I'm really upset I didn't get into the class so now I'm worried I'm going to be really behind. I want to be prepared as much as possible. Can you keep me updated on the class?

Received my blue card and uploaded it .. I wonder how long before they check everything and our flus hot do we have to wait till August to take it?

I can't use the private messages because I'm not involved in 15 topics or something is what it says.

They are going through the alphabet and verifying everyone, once they get to the end they start back over. If all documents are there, they are already sending out emails notifying of the block removal. They verified all mine on Friday and I received the email today that they removed the hold. I tried registering for classes but the advisor selects our schedule so once they plan it, you can register. The classes that show up are listed for Thursday and fridays only but I talked to the nursing department and she said there should be some on the other days of the week as well. Maybe they just aren't showing up?

The flu shot is not required for them to take the current hold off, we just have to get the shot in August when they come out with it. Waiting for the 2017-2018 strain. If you get it now, it would be the wrong flu vaccine.

I read somewhere else about the nursing shoes so I confirmed and they do have to be the full look like leather slip on nursing shoes.

It does not matter what brand of lab coat but must be at least mid thigh.

Yeah I received an email because I still needed to upload my vaccines and they verified everything else.. so do they give us the classes to register for in the curriculum? Yeah I don't really want to take classes Friday's unless I have to

It gives me the option to plan it but I am not allowed to register for it because the advisor has to be the one to plan our schedule, we apparently do not get to pick the time of when we would like to take the class. Two courses give two different times and the other two only give one option. And all four are only showing options for Thursday and Friday.
