College of the Mainland ADN Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone. I haven't found a forum out there for COM Fall 2017. I recently found out about the school and will be turning in my application for the deadline. Anyone else out there ? :)

I'm super excited too!!!

For everyone on the alternate list, I will be declining the COM acceptance bc I got into Alvin.

Good luck everyone on the alternate list and congratulations to everyone who got into nursing school! :)

I wish you all luck in your future

I'm super excited too!!!

We should make a group for the ones accepted

I will also be turning down my spot for COM since I was accepted into Alvin. Hope this makes someone happy on the alternative list ! Congrats everyone

Does anyone know how many people are on the alternative list?

I read on a previous COM forum that there were 10 on the list. Idk if that's current

Is Alvin a better school? I'm just wondering since many are choosing it instead. I had applied at San Jac but didn't get accepted

Alvin is number 7 in the state and number 2 out of all of the Houston area. Com isn't in the top 10 in the Houston area.

My thoughts are that each program may be better for a different person. From my understanding, com has a great nursing program. If you go there you should be proud to! But yes, alvin, as far as ratings go is outstanding

I can't believe I never looked into Alvin CC I only applied at San jac and lee college and the are very competitive that I didn't make it in not even with a 3.8 GPA. I'm happy I made it in COM I'm just glad I'm in a nursing program

I know the feeling. Regardless of where we go we have the ability to become a skilled RN. At the end of the program we are all RN's in the same boat :)

Good luck with your future education!

So sad I am on the alternate list...
