Hello All:
Starting a thread for those of us applying to COC Summer/ Fall 2019 RN program. I am specifically applying to the LVN to RN program. Lets keep each other updated on status.

I think we should hear back around 3/15-3/31 if we have made it far enough to take the TEAS or send the scores over. Then we find out at the end of April if we are in or not. It's soon, but not soon enough!

Congratulations on your acceptance to LA County. I've also applied to their program but I chose the Generic ADN option so I won't be hearing from them until May 15. Did you go through an interview for the program because it mentions it on their website? If so, how was the interview and can you give me any tips for the interview?

Hi the interview is for the generic program only, it did not apply to the LVN bridge program. There is a thread I started which others have discussed the interview. You may also want to go see previous years' threads for info.
Does anyone know when the orientation would be if we are lucky enough to get into CoC’s program? The website says a Friday in May but doesn’t state which one. I have a family vacation that includes Friday May 24, which is Memorial Day weekend. I’m worried that they may hold it that Friday and I can’t back out of the trip.
Do you think they have contingency plans?

it looks like the orientation will be around the end of april: http://www.canyons.edu/Departments/NURSNG/Documents/TIMELINE - Application and Selection 112018.pdf
I hope you’re right about the orientation, @futurernmelne . I kind of assumed that the announcement section on the website was a little more updated. I don’t want to ask them because I may not get in and then it doesn’t matter anyway!
As far as I know, everyone will get an update by the end of the month. Either you don’t make the Chancellor’s cut and they send a remediation plan, or you move on to either take the TEAS or to submit your score if you have already taken it.
For those who have taken the TEAS, how many points do you have for your application?

And they literally just added the orientation date! May 10!
Now just hoping that I can get into the program...
