Hello All:
Starting a thread for those of us applying to COC Summer/ Fall 2019 RN program. I am specifically applying to the LVN to RN program. Lets keep each other updated on status.

I didn't use Smart prep. I watched EVERY A&P Crash course video, some crash course bio vids. I watch khan academy for almost every system. Some Bozeman science.
Check out Brandon Craft for Math.
Carolyn McAllister for English/Reading.
And Quizlet! lots of great practice on there!!
Thank you!

I got a 90.7 !
Overall GPA: 3.9
Science GPA: 4.0
Along with CNA and other points I have a total 87 points.
You’re probably in for sure. Congrats! Is this your first choice?
Hi Everyone!
I am applying for the regular RN program for the Fall, and I’m a nervous wreck waiting for the acceptances to come out. I’m really worried about my standing because I took my pre-req’s at CSULB and one of my professors screwed me over and even though I presented everything to the Dean, I was basically told tough luck, so now my GPA isn’t the strongest but I got a 90.7% on my TEAS. I was really bummed out because I have DPC experience but it won’t be 6 months for me until literally two days after the mandatory orientation so I couldn’t count it. I have 67 points at the very least though, and so I’m wondering if anyone knows how many people are still in the running for the program at this point in the selection period?
Good Luck to all of you still in!

Are you asking how many of us are still in the running or how many people are left in general for the selection?
Yeah, at this point, none of us have any more info than the rest. You are welcome to calll and ask them what the cutoff is and what your exact points are, but we should be hearing back either tomorrow or next week. We’ve made it this far so just hold on!
In the past, the cutoff has been around 65 points. Hopefully it stays right around that for this semester too.
