College of the Canyons Spring 2020

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a new thread for anyone applying to COC for the Spring 2020 term so we can share stats and info during the admission process. This will be my second time applying to the program so if you have any questions I’m happy to try answer any questions you might have about my experience from applying for the Fall 2019 term. Anyways, welcome and I’m excited to hear from you guys!

Hey everyone!! Just got my acceptance email this afternoon and I am in SHOCK. Congrats to everyone who made it and great job to those who tried! I got rejected from CSUCI last semester and was an alternate for Moorpark this semester! But look, finally happened for me and it’ll happen for you. Goodluck!!

I was placed as alternate #15. Does anyone know if I have a chance being this # on the alternate list / how many alternates they select?? My nerves are through the roof ?

I know last semester at least 12 of the alternates ended up getting in, idk if there were more but I know at least 12 did

Anyone in here Alternates 1-5? I’m trying to find out if there’s been any movement yet but when I called all they told me was Julie would counsel us at orientation

Moorpark, LA county, Long Beach city have all made their notifications that I know of.

Hey! Sorry this reply is a bit late, just logged in to see the notifications :) Thank you so much for the congrats, i'd be more than happy to share my stats...

...TEAS score: 88%

...Combined GPA: 3.83

...GPA for sciences: 3.8 (anatomy, physio, micro, chem)

...200+ volunteer hours in medical field

...fluent in English and Armenian

...need to work (worked part-time for one year)

Hi there, I’m applying for fall 2020 coc Rn program. On the selection criteria it says DPC, what does that mean?

It means Direct Patient Care, so clinical experience in which you were hands-on with patient care
