College of the Canyons Spring 2020

Published

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a new thread for anyone applying to COC for the Spring 2020 term so we can share stats and info during the admission process. This will be my second time applying to the program so if you have any questions I’m happy to try answer any questions you might have about my experience from applying for the Fall 2019 term. Anyways, welcome and I’m excited to hear from you guys!

Would it still be good to get the textbooks then?

It is important to get them more so for assigned readings as well as homework assignments that come straight from the books. Just some advice: you can find cheaper PDF versions online (especially eBay) of a lot of books for cheaper, if you don’t wanna spend hundreds.

Of course! Thank you! Goodluck to you and the rest of the first semester students. It’ll be soooo great and will fly by, so try not to feel too overwhelmed!! Y’all will do great.

Hello sorry I know I already messaged this cohort. If you guys have any tips on passing NURS 112 - Theory that would be great! I’m having trouble what to prioritize in regards to information.

I know you already finished N112 but for N114 I read the chapters and focused on Prof Duncan‘s study guide. Did well. N112 theory was strange (I guess, theory is always a mystery ?). Relax, it will get better!
