Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a new thread for anyone applying to COC for the Spring 2020 term so we can share stats and info during the admission process. This will be my second time applying to the program so if you have any questions I’m happy to try answer any questions you might have about my experience from applying for the Fall 2019 term. Anyways, welcome and I’m excited to hear from you guys!

I posted the coc merit points PDF above. You can add up your points that way!

I just did it and I honestly only add up to 56 seems really low. I have a 3.3 on science, 3.4 overall GPA and a 76 on my Teas. I go 4 additional points on the other sectioms. I dont think thats enough lol. But at least intried
How many points did you calculate? Do they take the English GPA in consideration like GCC?

I calculated 67 points. I'm feeling super discouraged. I spoke with Julie and asked her what the cut off score was for last cycle and she told me that people who got in had 72 or more points.. ?
She also said that there are MORE applicants this cycle than last cycle and that cut off score might increase.
I have 3.8 on science. 3.5 overall GPA. 78% on TEAS. 7 points in other sections. I really feel like I'm not going to make the cut. I tried, too. That's what matters. Did you apply to other schools?
I applied at lavc and GCC. I havent heard anything back from Lavc not sure why. GCC asked me to submitt my teas score last week. I scored low on my teas i feel like that getting a 90 would guarantee a spot. Theres always other options. Im trying to stay positive ????. We made it this far. What ment to be for us will be. I know we will be great Nurses one day. Did you apply to other schools?

Yes, I applied to 5 total. Remember we only need ONE yes ?
I'm proud of us for getting this far, and for trying. You're going to be a great nurse as well. I scored low too.. but honestly we gave it our all and that is enough. Stay positive! We got this. ❤️

That's a great TEAS score. Congrats!! I think you're going to get in for sure with that TEAS score and 70 or more points. Good luck to you!

Good job on the TEAS! I think you have a very good chance of getting in! I wonder how much weight having already applied affects your chance at getting in the next time around. I wonder if that is equivalent to a certain number of points?
I didn't study very much at all for the TEAS which I definitely regret. I was soo busy. I also missed the email with the TEAS invite until the Monday before. I studied for those 4 days after work for the test and got an 84.5% ? i definitely could have done better! I also wish they rounded up to an 85 because then I'd have 5 more points ?
I think I have 76 points. But from following the older threads from other cycles and it seems like even people with points above mine didn't get in.

I really believe that with 76 points you're definitely getting in! Good job on those points!!
Also that is still a great score! Don't be too hard on yourself about it. I think your chances are very good! Keep us posted! ?
Hey there! Wishing everyone good luck for acceptance to get into the Nursing program!
I’m so nervous waiting to hear back, checking my email constantly!!
I think I’m at about 70 ish points as well. My GPA isn’t the best (ugh who would have thought my college years from almost 10 years ago would still come back to haunt me even though I’ve done well since returning to school) but I got a 90.7% on my TEAS. So I’m just praying!!
