Hi everyone!

This might be a little too early for a thread like this, but I submitted my online application for the spring at COC and I'm so anxious yet excited!

Anyone else here already go ahead and do that? What's everyone's stats who's applying?

I have been studying for the TEAS since May, and it feels so real now that my application is in!

Thank you! It's very exciting. It really is an amazing program. If you get into COC nursing program do yourself a favor and go there. You will be much more prepared to be a real nurse once you graduate than other schools. Now that does mean it is more difficult and has stricter requirements/rules but it's all for the better. I'm also fortunate that I could do the COC/CSUN cohort so I am concurrently getting my BSN as well. Graduate with my ADN in Dec and my BSN next summer!

I recently called the nursing department and they said that emails will be going out in the later part of the week. Just so everyone has an idea of when to expect them.

Ah that's awesome you're in the cohort program! I wanted to do that but I only have calculus done, not stats so my pre reqs couldn't cut it ):

Is the first semester really hectic? If I get in I'm trying to figure out how or if I'll still be able to manage my job and I know the beginning of things are always the most intense and just a lot at once. ):

Good afternoon! Hopefully you guys don't mind me joining your thread. I've also been checking my emails like crazy, however I called today and they advised me "they're still being worked on and should be out by Monday." My stats are as follows:

English & math gpa: 3.0

Core bio gpa: 3.33

Overall gpa: 3.0

EMT-B for 2.5 years.

Haven't taken the TEAS V yet but I feel ready for it. I applied to both CoC and AVC, but CoC is first choice. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated 😊

And that's crazy, I'm such a ball of stress from the wait!

You have good stats, I was an EMT-B for a couple years but I let my license lapse because I got more involved in school and different field of work with kids with autism [:

You'll do great on the TEAS. I took it two weeks ago at a PSI center because the test dates for COC and Moorpark didn't work for my schedule. I scored 85% overall and as long as you prepared and used some sort of study manual/practice tests you'll do great!

this is a very good score. I took the online practice forms A and V and only scored a 75 on both. I have since then been studying more. I have taken 4 out of the 5 practices test from Mcgraw hill Teas V practice test manual. I have been studying you tube videos. I have scored very high on some but sometimes i score low again. I am very stressed and i am not sure if i am ready or not.

Same story here, I left my EMT job to focus on school. There was no way I could finish my prereqs working 10+ hours a day :dead:.

I've been using the ATI study manual for the TEAS, but this wait is stressing me out more than anything lol. You have pretty solid stats yourself! Best of luck to you, hopefully we all get in.

Welcome to the blog. It looks like we are going to be taking the teas test next Friday. Well, if we get the invites tomorrow which it looks like we will. How have you been preparing for it?

Your GPA is very good. I myself am counting on my GPA helping me out if i end up not doing so well on the Teas test.
