Anyone applying to COC Nursing program Fall 2016?

I don't personally think the Pharmacology class is needed then again I didn't take it...

Additionally, you can get a job at a hospital with "just" an ADN. It's true it's preferred that you are at least enrolled in a BSN program. But plenty of my classmates have been hired as well as me. My hospital didn't even ask me about a BSN :p

I also didnt take the pharm course. I do not feel it "needed". You will get plenty of pharm in first semester. 2nd-4th, pharm is built into your theory curriculum. I would focus more on completing any BSN requirements you want to get done like chem, stats, etc.

This is great advice! Focus on that BSN.

Heyya, I'm already in the midst of the summer semester at GCC and we've covered intro Fundamentals to Nursing and Pharmacology. They are really exposing us to NCLEX type questions so we get used to it. Most of the questions on the exams/quizzes are critical thinking questions. They stress that fact quick frequently. Our group of 40 will get split into 20 when the fall semester starts. We are separated by standard schedule students and weekend/evening schedule students.

We got an email where our names are listed and they correspond to a certain teacher, schedule and clinical location...Im sorry to hear that but hang in there people are still deciding between different schools :)

Are people still waiting to hear from other schools? I am going to call and see what number I am. Last time I was #6, so it is going to be close to get in. What is the schedule? Is it mon-fri? 6 hours a day or so? I just don't want to be one of the 2 they let come the first week and then get sent home.

Its mon-friday all days are at least 4 hours long

all my classes start at 9am or earlier with 7am being the earliest. the latest my class ends is i think 3pm. but there is 2 different schedule so yeah.
