College of the Canyons, CA (acceptance)

Published

Hi All!

Does anyone happen to know if College of the Canyons sends an email or gives you a phone call if you have been accepted? Any help would be appreciated! I am anxiously waiting to hear from them! :wink2:

Thanks!!!

Hi! I am currently in 1st semester at CoC. First, they send out an email telling you that you've been approved to take the TEAS test for entrance (that email usually comes about a month after app. deadline). Then, once you've taken the TEAS, it takes about two weeks to hear from the school on acceptance or not. They send out an acceptance email with information as to when the mandatory orientation will be held. Keep an eye out for any emails from address of canyons.edu. Hope this helps. Good luck!

thanks for the insight!!! if you dont mind me asking... how many times did you try applying before you got in anywhere?

thanks!

I went through two application periods (1 year total). Not bad compared to some other people I know. However, I got in the first time I applied at CoC, so it is possible. :)

I know this is an old thread but I didn't know where else to post this. I got my acceptance e-mail from College of the Canyons today! Woohoo! :)

Congratulations!!! :yeah: You will LOVE the instructor who teaches 1st semester theory. She is amazing!! Good luck and I will most likely see you around campus.

Thanks CoCStudentNurse! What semester are you in? How do you like the school so far?

I received my acceptance letter in the email last week as well. I'm so excited.

Congrats to everyone who got in!!:yeah:

I am currently in 2nd semester -- Maternal/Newborn/Pediatric nursing rotation. I really enjoy the program and the school. Most of the faculty is really helpful, but like any school, you find among the great instructors those that are not so great. It is a tough program, but manageable as long as you keep up with things. 1st semester Fundamentals is intense, but the theory instructor is more than willing to help out if you need it. Wonderful woman. I'm not sure what else to say about the school but if you have any questions about the program, I'm more than willing to answer and help when I can. Feel free to keep in contact.

Congrats to all of us!!! I got my acceptance through email last Friday. Does anyone knows how the schedule will be like? I am from Orange County and I am looking for a place out there for school once i start the program. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you guys!

Hey everyone, I also got my acceptacnce letter last week! Does anyone know what the schedule will be like? Are classes mon-fri? Im sure we will learn all of this next Friday, but im soo anxious and excited to find out all details!

Does anyone have any information for alternates?? Maybe you know of a classmate who was an alternate? I'm trying to figure out how many are put on the alternate list, or if you are an alternate who is not chosen do you get put into the following class?

Any info helps, thanks!
